Woodpeckers makes very good square dowels, that's what I first purchased from them. But their manufacture process for hardbard canvas is awful. This is the second one I've ordered with the same problem. Yes, I can fix it with glue and sanding, so it is not a total loss, but I SHOULDN'T NEED TO DO THIS (twice). This is my last order or contact with you, but I wanted to at least send this message. There are too many alternatives (Ampersand, Blick, etc.) to put up with this. Robert D.
