The Cruel Prince follows the main character Jude. She's 17 and mortal. She lives in Elfhame for 10 years now. Life hasn't been easy for Jude and her sisters. Judes pared were killed by Madoc, who is the real father of Judes older sister, Vivienne. Vivi is Fae and lives a pretty normal life in Elfhame. Jude and het twin sister, Taryn, aren't that lucky. They are mortal, which means they don't belong in Faerie. Cardan, the youngest prince of Elfhame, does everything to make their lives worse. The characters are well written, I just hoped we got a little bit more of their backstories. The book is written from Judes persective. I would have liked it if we also got to read from others perspectives. I would recommend the book and I'm looking forword to read the sequel.
