Attending the magistrates court for an assault/ABH charge was one of the lowest points of my life. Without a solicitor of my own I was completely reliant on the advice and advocacy skills of the court solicitor, who was Kirsty O'Connor of Cartwright King Solicitors. She was amazing. She reassured me, advised me and defended me brilliantly - despite her incredibly full caseload that day without any support. I pleaded guilty (against Kirsty's advice) but believe my suspended sentence was only achieved through Kirsty's intervention.
