I had a very disappointing experience with Chase Evans and my estate agent, Balmit. My offer on a property was accepted in writing on Saturday, and based on this, I immediately engaged (and paid) a solicitor to start the process. However, a few days later, I was informed that the seller had decided to go to a “best and final offer” process because another buyer had come in with a higher bid—essentially, I was gazumped despite already having written confirmation of my accepted offer. To make matters worse, communication throughout the process was poor. I had to chase Balmit multiple times just to get confirmation of what was happening, which only added to the frustration. The lack of transparency and professionalism made what should have been an exciting process incredibly stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend Chase Evans to anyone looking for a reliable and ethical estate agent.
