visited your store today with my 5 year old daughter and experienced dreadful customer service to the point that I will never shop there again. Waited for ages in the nottingham store today to get my child's feet measured for your expensive kid's shoes. I waited and waited, other customers came, waited got fed up and walked off. There was only one member of staff measuring children's feet and she was more interested in hectoring customers who were trying to use the 'family' toilet. Just the one toilet for a big store in a big city. This member of staff then complained loudly to customers that she spent all day turning people away from the toilet. Well, we got tired of waiting and walked away like everyone else. Before we left I complained to a 'manager' told her we had waited for a long time for nothing, that other customers had walked away. Was she concerned? no, of course not. First came the oh so convenient 'covid' excuse but this doesn't wash because the kid's shoe department has been like this for years now. I asked her why the kid's shoe dept is always understaffed and asked "don't you want to sell shoes to people" masked manager's reply an aggressive "don't talk to me like that" and with that I decided never to shop with John lewis again, never again. I'm sick of being treated with contempt by your rude staff. The only reason anyone shops in this expensive store is because we expect a slightly more pleasant shopping experience and better service, this used to be the case years ago but not any more. Nobody has to shop at John Lewis, there are plenty of better alternatives online and on the high street and in future I will use them.
