When I ordered a new sofa a month ago (11th November), the estimated shipping date was 13th December, which convinced us to place the order as it would be arriving in time for Christmas and we are hosting quite a few guests. This has now been pushed back to the 5th January, long after Christmas is over and everyone will have left. If an accurate despatch date had been displayed on their website we would not have placed the order and instead looked for alternatives elsewhere. It feels like we were tricked into paying for something that was never going to arrive in time for what we needed it for.
As the new despatch date of 5th Jan has only just been updated this week, it is now too late for us to cancel the order and look for alternatives elsewhere this close to Christmas. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience for us, meaning we are now £800 out of pocket with no sign of our new sofa turning up any time soon.
