Recently at Slaters, Preston, Lancashire I found a nice suit Magee brand, not cheap.
Jacket was perfect I wanted to buy it but trousers very very tight.
I asked if we can swap trousers with bigger size suit.
Immediate answer was NO.
With no hesitation they rejected my money.
With no hesitation they chose to keep both suits on the rack instead of selling one.
After swapping trousers they could easily exchange them with Magee, because selling me that suit is good for both: Magee and Slaters. When Slaters sell one suit, Magee can sell them another one.
Can we order for me proper trousers? – I asked then.
Immediate answer was NO.
Later I found out from Magee they have Personal Tailoring service and Slaters know about it so they could order for me proper trousers.
Even email exchange with Susan, Slaters Marketing Director, gave me nothing. She had a problem to offer me a solution, only one reasonable, to swap trousers with another suit.
And she did not mention about Magee Personal Tailoring service, as well.
So, definitely, customer satisfaction is not the priority for Slaters.
