I wish I had read reviews before buying my sofa and chair so I feel I must write this to deter at least one person from wasting their hard earned money with this company.
Delivery was on time and I was happy with the furniture. However after 1 day the leather started to stretch and sag. I was told to leave it for 4-6 weeks to allow it to settle and adjust. After that time it looked worse if anything. They agreed to send an engineer and I was sure we would get the problem rectified. It was a shock when he said this was normal, and this soft leather aged this way.....after 1 day?? The next day I had an email to say that the technician had made a report to say that there wasn't a problem. I was shocked. I rang and waited over an hour to speak to someone who told me that our problem was resolved as far as they were concerned. I wasn't rude or anything, it's not the employees fault, they just follow a generic scrip. I asked why our leather was different to the 1 in the showroom and was told the seat fillings were dressed and plumped regularly. Even I if I could do that to mine it wouldn't make any difference, after all the technician says it's down to normal leather stretch. So why doesn't the leather in the showroom stretch and sag.....mmmm funny that! I feel I was mis-sold, I have ended up with a chair and sofa that isn't as good as the 14 year old one I got rid of.
I'm going to take this further and am taking advice. Sofology has told me the case is closed. Next time I will be paying extra and going to an independent company that takes some pride and skill in the way they make furniture and deal with customers.
Please think on before using Sofology....the showrooms are tempting and the sales staff persuasive but what you pay for is not always what you get!
