WARNING – DON,T BUY FROM SOFOLOGY The sales people at sofology are very good at their jobs, making lots of promises and reassurances. At the end of the sales process, customs are urged to give them a positive review on trustpilolt, hence the 94% approval rating they advertise in the store windows. Unfortunately, that 5 star treatment ends when you have paid and left the store. If you have a problem after you have bought your sofa you will soon find that their support service is 1 star and their approval rating drops to 5% (Go to the Sofology reviews website for genuine reviews – not the sofology site). They provide a truly diabolical service. It will never be their fault, with excuses galore. The 3 seater sofa of our £3000 cream leather suite started peeling when it was just outside the two year warranty. Our complaint was first judged by an automated system which very quickly rejected stating it was out of warranty. Tried using their phone line, the queue started at 6, slowly went down to 2 and then jumped back up to 6, gave up after 45 mins. Best way to contact them is to e-mail and get them to phone you back. Their £234 Sofashield insurance isn't worth the paper its written on. Trying to make claim is waste of time. They deemed our claim to be a structural fault and therefore not covered by the insurance. We are a couple in our seventies so the usage was very light. Made from the best quality leather was how it was described to us. Good quality leather should not start peeling when it is just over 2 years old. It should have remained in good condition for a reasonable time, certainly much more than than the two years warranty period .We now avoid sitting where its peeling, worried that it will get much worse quickly. Their leather is made in china and is described as pigmented leather which means its been sprayed coated to improve the appearance. In our case its the pigment that's peeling leaving very basic Gray leather. The best offer they could make was to send someone to inspect the suite, if it was found to be faulty they would give us a voucher for the original £3000 to spend in their store, but to get this we had to pay them £1200 for the two year usage we had had from the suite making the total cost of a new suite £4200 Surely the first suite should have still been in nearly new condition if it had been of a reasonable quality. Our previous leather suite was still in good condition after 20 years use, unfortunately we sold it and bought this new suite which as turned out to be rubbish by comparison. When they finally refused to do anything about your faulty suite you will get an e-mail stating the problem has been resolved and the case closed. Resolved to who's satisfaction, certainly not the customers. Rubbish company, Don't go there.
