After looking at various e-bike conversion kits on the market I eventually settled on Swytch for a couple of reasons. Firstly I wanted simplicity of design and secondly I wanted it to fit in with the look of my modified 30 yr old Halfords mountain bike. The kit ticked both boxes in my opinion. Quality of components is superb and it’s something that I appreciate in a product being an engineer. My first ride was around my local park so not fast but I wanted to test the different levels of assist. Surprisingly I found level 1 to be perfect for my single speed bike on the flat and for just tootling around. A 10 mile ride the other day still left 4 bars of battery. Admittedly it was mostly on the flat but if you’re creative with your ride (which is part of the fun for me) there shouldn’t be a problem with your average journey. The motor is practically silent and responsive and for me it’s the perfect marriage of simplicity and fun. Happy to be part of the Swytch Owner’s Club and it’s a nice feeling knowing you’ve built yourself an e-bike! Ashley
