I bought Shimano XT Gear shifter. Order turned up as a jumbled bag of parts with the outer cable missing. I complained to customer services but was told ‘we confirm that sometimes our supplier and manufactures send us the items without the original packaging so this way we can offer the most competitive price when regarding cycling-related items.’ I am reporting this to trading standards as I was expecting boxed parts, not unboxed with items missing.
In some ways it is my own fault! I bought a cycle chain off them last year on express delivery. Wiggle sent wrong part. I had to pay for the return of the wrong item. Wiggle then sent the correct chain sent by snail post once they had received the original part.
No apologies and no refund for postage due to their mistake.
