I was very disappointed with the finish of the walnut shelves I ordered. They were a very strange colour that was nothing like walnut and it looked as if only one coat of stain had been applied when they needed a lot more. I did not want the hassle and cost of returning them so was obliged to spend over £13 on some Briwax walnut polish and stain to bring the finish up to an acceptable standard. We had been happy with some previous shelves which were a different colour so I was surprised how poor these were.
