I purchased a Bodum coffee pour from a retailer. When I got home I realized I was missing a small piece (the lid for the pot once the coffee filter was removed). This lid is not shown anywhere on the product packaging, except for in the “instructions”. I contacted the retailer, who looked at the only other Bodum pot in their stock and advised that that pot also did not have the lid. I wrote to Bodum customer service and asked for a replacement part (likely pennies to the company). I also offered to buy the missing part. The company response was to NOT read my request and refuse all assistance. Referred me back to the retailer. I did also send proof of purchase with the request. For a small plastic part that costs the company nothing. I have gotten better customer service from literally every other retailer that I have dealt with. EVERY retailer I have dealt with has offered to help and support. Bodum does not stand behind its products or it’s manufacturing (despite its stated policies). I will NEVER buy from Bodum again. Cheap company with no ethics. I feel totally disrespected by the blasé attitude that showed the representative didn’t even read my inquiry. Just went straight to “no”. No wonder Amazon is wiping companies like Bodum off the planet. They offer to help customers.
