I love their products but their customer service is one of the worst I've ever dealt with. No communication, silent treatment of customers and actions that are spiteful and disrespectful.
Here's the story...
Canada Post recently gone on strike and most other companies I've ordered from have been using other companies to ship their items.
I ordered an item from Bodum and received an email that my order was being prepared. Almost a week later, the item hadn't been shipped so I contacted them. They said they were holding items until the strike is over, which is indefinitely. I responded and asked why they weren't using another company in the meantime for shipping or at the very least, sending emails to their customers telling them that they are holding their items after purchase. They did not respond.
The next day, I received a notification that my item was shipped to Canada Post (from the US). So now, it's going to sit there with the other items for who knows how long.
This was a low blow move. Instead, acknowledge your customers and validate their concerns. All I was asking for was that you take a few minutes to send an email to your customers to let them know that you won't be sending their items....
