I rented a car while I was in Tulum, Mexico. When I arrived at the rental car company (America Car Rental), the associate told me they had ran out of cars. He told me this behind an iron gate because apparently this happens a lot and people tend to get very angry at him. I was aware that this happens, and I was ok. I made do with taxis and renting a bike. The rental car guy said that his boss was arriving later with more cars from Cancun, and he would text me when the cars arrived. He never contacted me.
What really angers me is that when I reported this to Discover Cars, they're asking for proof that his actually happened. How am I supposed to prove something that NEVER happened? Basically, they have no idea what's going on at these rental companies, and they accept no responsibility. I want my money back for services not rendered, and I want it back asap.
