A little about me. I’m a family person with a great job. I work hard to be a contributing member to our beloved society and I want to be a solution, not a problem. I come from a deep academic background with decades of commercial and professional experience. I’ve currently been going through an excruciatingly difficult time where I’ve had to forgo my rights, and accept major losses. Effectively have the wool pried away from my eyes and my decades of hard work negated in a quick whim. My CBT Therpaist from back on track gave me a headstrong link in the event I felt I needed more help. I’m glad she did. My blood pressure was through the roof uncontrollably and my GP and my previous CBT therapist basically saved my life. As the stress levels began to rise I decided to contact headstrong thereafter. During my sessions with my headstrong therapist, I was able to put my thoughts on the table and organise and navigate the unknown. This was a vital step to get a grip on my emotional and mental wellbeing. My therapist and the headstrong team ensured there’s no judgement, there’s support, and understanding. I’m a person who believes information and honesty can be risky if leaked to friends, family, or others especially if honesty is subjective and based on vague data. And that can lead to isolation when you worry about consequences of sharing. My therapist and I maintained a private forum. This was important so as to challenge thoughts and process feelings. My therapist clearly showed she was constantly paying attention. She recalled and discussed important events and emotions I had brought up. It’s not easy listening to someone for hours and maintain focus. I’ve also been doing some psychological studies to better understand myself and those around me. This gave me an insight in to how well prepared my therapist was and how she handled the sensitive matters imparted toward her. Words cannot truly express my gratitude.
