I've worked as a contractor for HML at one of their sites for some 6 years. I've been constantly reporting problems which are never sorted. Always promising that something is going to be done but it never is. Impossible to get on the phone. Ignored all my emails for years and then complained that she didn't like my tone....... I pointed out that she'd probably adopt that tone if all her emails were just ignored. Regular site inspections? They don't know the meaning of this! The final straw was when they demanded I pay £300 to them for the privilege of working for them.... apparently to cover some sort of admin which any decent company would do anyway and not charge the contractor. I asked them how they'd feel if they were docked £300 out of their pay to cover the personnel department....no reply of
course. Well I refused point blank to pay the £300........ They even suggested I just add the £300 onto one of my bills for maintaining the site which certainly seems fraudulent. Of course they conveniently terminated my contract on some feeble excuse though i know perfectly well it was because I refused to give them £300. In fact the property manager did say once that if I didn't pay up, I wouldn't be working for HML so guess I shouldn't be surprised.
