The staff of Home Depot in Dartmouth Crossing lied to me about Ridgid tools having a lifetime warranty. After buying over $2000 worth of Ridgid tools, the battery operated circular saw died on it's 2-3 use. When I brought it back to the store expecting it to be exchanged, the way I was led to believe, I found out that it is not a true warranty, like Mastercraft had, but it is a service agreement, valid only if the tool is registered, something I wasn't told I had to do. Now, because I haven't registered it, being unaware it was necessary, I have over $2000 worth of tools with only a 3 year repair warranty, and since the saw I just bought was manufactured in 2022, I only have a 1 year warranty it it. When I explained what I was told by the tool department staff, the manager told me I wasn't the first person who told him that, but that it sucks to be me (not his exact words), because even though I was told incorrect information, I should have read the owners manual. So much for being able to trust the store associates. Do your due diligence dealing with these guys.
