I currently purchase hardware in small quantities for a product prototype. I have dealt with Winco, McMaster-Carr. If Winco makes the part I need, they are my preferred source. Winco seems the best for small quantities of the various latches we need. The prices are reasonable, and so far, I have not run into a situation in which parts are coming from different warehouses making the shipping more expensive than the parts as with others. Nor am I dealing with a distributor. The Winco website and printed catalog (that sits next to my desk) get me to the part I need if Winco makes it and I usually download a CAD model to put into the product model. Winco is easy to use.
