I haven't yet used the Remoska recently purchased, but I used its predecessor (with no glass panel in the lid) two or three times a week for over 12 years until the on/off light began to flicker, so I have every faith in this new one. Incidentally, the recipe book for my old Remoska of 12+ years ago states it was a 'cosmetically improved' model without a glass panel since the lid could not be submerged in water to clean the glass. I loved it and feel I have lost a good friend now. But I am looking forward to making friends with my new Renoska and we'll see soon which of the two designs I prefer!
