The next day I went into the store, my first time there, and again worked with Cody, who helped me select the right model for me, with no pressure at all. The whole process went quickly and efficiently, and I found the price for the exact same model at Slyman Bro. to be significantly less than it would have been at one of the "big box" stores. This will be my go-to store for appliances from now on.
