I purchased a steak hamper as a gift for my son-in-law, I know he is going to be delighted with it. I also bought the offal hamper for my husband and myself, mainly because I collect old recipe books and wanted to try out some of the old methods of cooking offal. So far I have used the heart to make a stuffed heart and dumplings dish. It may not be the most attractive dish to look at but the taste was rich and delicious and the left-over heart was delicious in sandwiches. This week I will be using the oxtail, to make a good soup. A trip down memory lane for me, and a culinary adventure for my grandchildren.
