Please be aware ........ I would just like people to be made aware of a situation I found myself in after I bought a private plate from Speedy Registration. I purchased a private plate from Speedy registrations and transferred to my car . On this car I had another private plate that I owned for 21 years. As soon as the transfer was done, my old plate ended up in the possession of Speedy Registration who then sold it to another number plate dealer in the UK. Des Elton Director of Speedy Registrations has stated to me that it is DVLA,s mistake and to follow up with them even though it was Speedy Registrations that sold my plate on. Private plates are important to some people and can hold significant value and I would not like to see the same happen to others.
