Wow wow wow!! I’m in training for the Arc of Attrition and Ultra Trail Snowdonia. In the last 6 months I’ve entered ultra and trail races as practice. Due to bad weather, my feet got sore and blistered. This left me in a lot of pain and unable to have optimal training leading into and during the events. So sock and shoe choice has left me curious and intimidated about ultra training/ racing. Am i too soft for this sport? Is it the right sport to be doing ? Does anyone else have this problem.
So looking into new sock companies and doing research the best I can do without spending a fortune on a number of brands out there. I decided to put my trust in “Sums” and man I’m so glad I did.
First trail run in them was Sunday 5th January. South wales had couple inches of snow, which left the trails snow covered, wet, icy and muddy underfoot. Obviously with my recent blister issues with socks, I was very conscious of the state of my feet the whole run. Shoes were constantly wet and cold. However to my delight, no issues at all, no hot spots, no blister, no problems.
I would 100% recommend as I did to the lads on the trails with me that day, and will 100% be a repeat customer.
We put 100% into our training, it’s nice to get 100% back from our equipment.
Thank you Sums
