Tuffnells have lost/stolen/misdelivered every consignment addressed to me over the last year, the most recent being yesterday. I have had hundreds of consignments successfully delivered to me by other couriers over this time. My local depot is Andover. They obviously have problems. I don't understand why they can't spend 10 seconds at the drop site (or alleged drop) taking a picture. This would prove that the drop had been attempted and help to find misdelivered consignments. Even Hermes do this. Google reviews for Andover tell a sad story. Moreover, many recent five-star reviews on Trustpilot for Tuffnells look fake: Most seem to be of similar length and format, and the 5 reviewers I checked out always leave five stars for all their reviews. . . So, apparently, besides being a terribly run business, someone at Tuffnells has arranged for (even paid for?) fake positive reviews. Nowadays, I ask any distance seller whether or not they use Tuffnells, before I buy. Unfortunately, I forgot to do this with Metals4u (yesterday's failed Tuffnells delivery) but I have remembered to check with thewrightbuyltd, before I buy an oven. They have just got back to me to say they use a courier called Furdeco, so they will get my order. I do wish Tuffnells would just disappear.
