My son has been in turtle tots since he was a new born. When he reached the age of 2 he became very fearful of the water and he became very upset throughout the entire class. He would stop taking part in group activities and just seem to hate the water. This was very upsetting for him as well as myself as I felt like I was putting him under pressure every Wednesday, I became to dread the class every week. But when I tell you Elaine Foster was absolutely brilliant with him, it’s an understatement!! She was so patient with him and made it her business to include Harry in every part of the class even if he wasn’t doing what the other children were doing, Elaine would encourage Harry in other ways to stay in the water and allowed him to do things he enjoyed at his own pace. She is excellent at her job and has always checked in with Harry and myself and always made us feel included even when Harry was very upset. Now I’m delighted to say Harry has turned corner and has really enjoyed his last two classes with Elaine, he even ran to her this week which is a huge turning point for Harry, I would highly recommend Elaine if your child is a nervous child with the water, she’s just brilliant.
