The only good thing to come out of Clip was the creators themselves. The website is very cluncky and doesn’t always allow you to play video clips, with the mobile version of the website being impossible to work with so being an on the go business owner it limited me on when I could use the website. The messaging system requires every message to be approved by Clip between you and the content creator making the process very difficult to communicate fast and effectively. Once you have reviewed a creator there is no way to section them to ‘viewed’ or ‘no’ only a shortlist option. The fact you pay up front for the content should mean you have no restrictions on communication within the messaging system with the creators. The content creators that applied some hadn’t even read the brief and applied despite not ticking the boxes however we did manage to find 3 that did but this took time as we waited for more applicants. Would I use UGC content again - Yes! Would I use Clip to help me with this… No, not without major improvements to their website. If I am honest if it wasn’t for the creators who created decent content (who are the business) then my review would have been 1 star.
