I have used wyzant a lot and, as far as tutors go, there are some good tutors but there are also a lot of bad ones, who make false claims about their knowledge.
My complaint is with the wyzant system. During lessons, the connection gets lost for long periods of time. There is no way to speak to customer service.
The biggest issue is with the wyzant messaging system. On numerous occasions, I have sent messages to tutors only to go back and find out that those messages never went through. Recently, I attempted to cancel a lesson by messaging the tutor and, altough on my end the message appeared to go through, it did not and I was charged for a lesson that I did not get and didn't intend to have. Now, I have been going back and forth, via email, to try to recover my money.
