2 of the items I ordered were not in the package when it arrived. It happens, no big deal. However, I contacted Yellow Octopus and asked for them to be shipped and the reply email said that they would be shipped via express post, as requested, ASAP. However, a week later I emailed them to ask for the shipping info and I found out they were not shipped at that time because they were waiting on my reply (but I didn't know that because the email said to contact them if I had any questions - which I didn't!). In the end, the items weren't going to arrive in time as I'm staying with my parents over Christmas and so the order had to be refunded which is a real shame as I thought my loved ones would really like the items.
The reason I am giving Yellow Octopus 1 star is because I am appalled by the emails I received from the customer service team. I feel the emails are defensive and I was given excuses, yet no apologies despite me explaining the inconvenience as I had planned ahead. I have worked in customer service for an online store before and I do not appreciate being treated like I was wrong to be frustrated with the situation (I wasn't rude) when I have done nothing wrong.
