I booked a Lord of the Rings tour with Zealandier in February 2020 from Tauranga to see Hobbiton and other things along the way. I was on a cruise so I saved some money by taking Zealandier instead of the cruise ship's excursions. The tour was not only less expensive, but included more. Our guide was great and went above and beyond what was expected. He made a couple of impromptu stops - at a kiwi fruit farm and a wonderful ice cream shop - which we all appreciated and enjoyed. The only improvement to this wonderful tour would be having the guide enunciate a little better when he was explaining things using the van's microphone. We were mostly North Americans on the tour so sometimes it was hard to understand what he was saying because we weren't used to the New Zealand accent and he was holding the microphone too close to his mouth which made it harder to understand. This is just a minor thing and not everyone was paying attention like I was. I like to learn about things and hear about the local history and stories. All in all, this was a fabulous tour and I highly recommend Zealandier.
