“tryed to phone , but all automated phones iritate me, this one had two being hard of hearing, I gave up. I will now only deal with a real person !”

“Most internet shopping is done by logging onto a web site and browsing the products available and being able to make instant comparisons of quality and price. I would like to be able to do this when I am looking for a car part. I want to be able to search and see what is available as I search, not wait for individual dealers to get back to me if they have the item. It would mean that dealers would have to have proper inventories of their stock available on line and it also means that dealers have to be competitive. That said, the responses I got from my 247 inquiry were polite and to the point. The dealers were forthright about the condition of the item and they seemed very careful to try and avoid pushing a sale, quite happy to simply state what they had and leave the decision to me. This was appreciated. I was also surprised at how few responses I got.”

“Your site looks great and easy to navigate through. I've got few quotations on it but then I've try to call them and my surprise came up. The telephone numbers you're posting are very highly chargeable and the waiting time is huge. The rates per minute are sky high and the people behind it don't seam to be in no interest to pick up. Or even when they do,it seams like they do you a favor. 6£/minute is just another scam. Thank you but I won't be using you ever again!”

“Disappointing so far. I accepted a quote for a gear box from " Japanese Direct LtD" The first gearbox was wrong size so they sent a second gearbox- also wrong size. My mechanic had to supply them with the correct part number from my car. I now patiently await the arrival of a third gear box. This incompetence has left me without transport for nearly two weeks and caused me considerable inconvenience and expense. They should have known the correct gearbox spec. from my car registration number or they could have contacted me if unsure. Jim Mcilwaine”

“I had problems with the pat and waiting for a replacement I had to contact the supplier myself and had no help from 24 7 had i know that 247 only pass on inquires I would have Contacted them direct as they where very helpful although this is at an extra cost for replacement of the faulty parts”

“247 is an excellent vehicle ( pardon the pun) for sourcing spares can't say the same fore some of my responses though, One company contacted me to say that they had a rear bumper for my Focus and gave me a price, when I phoned and asked for a photo they said it was raining and they would send in the afternoon, never came so I phoned again said they had not sent a photo because they had not been able to locate the bumper ! that was yesterday, still waiting ? two more gave prices but unbelievable difference in carriage charges one was £7-99 the other £45 ?? oh well local scrapper may be the next move.”

“Quite disappointed that 3 vendors asked me to call them, having no note on the emails that the numbers given are premium rate. I therefore was charged approx £2 per call for all three not to have the part I wanted. There should be a reference box on the application page for part numbers so I didn't have to waste 45 minutes and, with calling two other vendors that had given quotes, a over £10 in call charges. Won't be using this service again.”

“No mention of how much the calls cost and without this information I just can not use as the cost could be up to £1.50 a minuet on these numbers.”

“The process of ordering was straight forward and was happy to receive del today after only ordering on Monday. However I was soon disappointed to find out I had received a passenger wing mirror not a drivers side one which I specified. I rang the company straight away for them to tell me a passenger one was ordered. In response I explained that it was my driver side mirror that was damaged so why would I need another passenger one!!! I was then told rye would look into and ring back but yet to have a response”

“I had 5 or 6 offers of the spare part I wanted but there were so many warnings about how to ensure the transaction took place okay I was scared off from actually going ahead. I stumbled on this site while trying to find reconditioned spares and didn't appreciate this is site links to breakers yards (I presume). A good idea but needs explaining better.”

“I received part in 2days it turd out the not to be the right part, I sent it bake also phoned, was told they would look and see if they had the right one if not would give refund . Two days still waiting. Not good !”

“I had 4 replies to my request for a spare part, one of which offered a landline number which I rang and they said that they would get back to me and didn't. The other three numbers started with 0704, which looked odd to me. On further investigation this turned out to be a premium rate number, which seems to be 46p a minute or more. Nowhere does it warn you of this.”
