“Had top make an emergency call out on the weekend. After a few hours delay an engineer did eventually come out. He did a bodge job of a repair that 10 days later, we're getting fixed again... And only £500 for the privilege. Got no paperwork or invoice from the company so we've got no recourse... Lesson learned. WE WILL NEVER USE THESE COWBOYS AGAIN!”
“Shouldn’t even get a 1 star, was told they’d be here in an hour, rang after two hours to be told the engineer had been delayed, I explained I needed a rough time as I was freezing and needed to get sorted or I would have to cancel to be told the engineer would ring in a couple of minutes to organise, no phone call after an hour, I rang back to be fobbed off with the same answer, I again stated if they didn’t ring I would be cancelling! Another half hour so rang up to cancel and they asked for my 16 digit number? I said I didn’t have a number (thinking she meant an order number) to be told ‘no, your debit card number for the call out fee’ 🤦🏻♀️ I said but nobody’s came out and the woman (with a bizarre fake American accent) said ‘well the debt agency will get in touch’ and put the phone down! 😳 By this time is was 4 o clock! Absolutely disgraceful service! Can’t speak for the engineers but the people you call are a bunch of liars! Be aware!”
“My boiler was not working so I called this company. The engineer came out for about 20 mins and just replugged the fuse which was loose. No materials were used and I was charged £349 for an engineer to plug a loose fuse back. £300 for labour charge and £49 for call out.
When I asked why so much, the customer service lady got really aggressive. Very unprofessional. Won't be using this company again and won't be recommending anyone to this company. If anyone use this company please ask how much labour charge is before using them”
“This was by far my worst experience with a company. Fast Gas Plumbing was recommended to me to check a leak in my boiler tank. Before their arrival, I explained over the phone that the leak was coming from beneath the tank, expecting that they’d come prepared to fix it. Instead, they spent 10 minutes just messing around my tank and restating the issue I had already identified. No repair was made, yet they still asked for £229. I would strongly advise avoiding this company.”
“Needed a new toilet cistern connected to the mains with a flexi hose and a installation valve. Plumber was in the house for 15 minutes. Was told £49 call out charge. He rang the company back , told them that the job was complete. Had to pay £5 for valve and £250 for labour. Bill was £304 !”
“I urge not to use this company. Emergency call-out for a burst pipe: 1hr 15 min job cost £500. Expected to pay heavily for a emergency call out but this is severe over charging. They base the charge on the "difficulty of the job" but cannot show any evidence of a charging scale for difficult or non difficult jobs. You enter this not knowing what you will pay at the end of the job so buyer beware.”
