“I purchased wallpaper from 2Modern, not realizing that the wallpaper is not waterproof. There was absolutely NO MENTION of this fact on the website at all.
When the wallpaper arrived, it felt like actual PAPER. So I contacted the company that actually produces it, and they said do not put it where it may have direct contact with water.
Of course I bought it for a bathroom. So I contact 2Modern for a return, and they tell me they won’t refund me.
$1000 down the drain because they didn’t mention at all that the wallpaper isn’t water proof.”
“I knew in advance what I wanted to buy and used Google to find sellers and compare prices. 2Modern had the item and it was in a favorable price range so I chose to order from them. The transaction went smoothly and I am now awaiting delivery.”
“I ordered a large shelf unit from 2Modern manufactured by Ethnicraft. It's solid mahogany and constructed in Indonesia - beautiful materials. Unfortunately, the design of the supports is unsafe and totally insufficient for actually using the shelf. The wall supports are set 26" apart, so most people will have to use a drywall spreader support in at least one place. No hardware was provided with the shelf, and the holes in the interior supports are so small that a screw with adequate threading to support the shelf (nevermind items atop the shelf) will not fit. The closest I could find at the hardware store was OK with the drywall spreaders, but until the head is tiny it will simply not fit into the support correctly, which causes the supports to not lie flush against the wall, which resulted in a sagging shelf.
I reached out to customer service and informed them of all of this. They simply informed me that without the original packaging the item is not returnable. Kind of ridiculous that I'm informing them that they are selling a product that comes incomplete and poses a potential safety hazard, and that's the response. The item was not cheap either.”
“The 2Modern customer service reps were very helpful and the Metropolitan delivery fellows very nice and thorough. However the shipping experience was full of snafus (failure to "release") and re-scheduling which made a short journey from Morena Valley, CA to Northern San Diego County turn into a 3+ week wait for the lamp. It took so long that I was able to see a competitor drop the price by $120 (unfortunately after 7 days had passed). If the lamp would have come promptly I wouldn't have minded so much.”
