Over 5 months and still waiting for payment... asked for the same information multiple times (will use anything to delay).

I'm 4 months into chasing my claim and nothing. They do not reply to emails, you call them waiting up to 1 hour and half for the line just to cut off - sometimes before you've even got through on when they 'put you on hold' today alone I've been on the phone 4 times and its only 11.30am, my last call was with DIEGO MORENO and guess what the phone cut off as he was looking into my claim. Please do not waste your money on this company - I believe its fraudulent as noone ever seems to have their claims paid out after researching a little more. I logged a complaint over a month ago - with no feedback. My claim is for over 8k and the stress it is having on my family is unimaginable. I'm just utterly applauded that they are allowed to continue to trade like this

Waited 2 months now can’t get through the call centre is in Mexico and if you do they cut you off once you give your details in. Don’t book with this insurance I fell as tho I had been scammed. I fell on holiday and lost my front teeth it looks as tho am never going to get any money towards the cost of replacing them. Why buy insurance just no point.

Avoid avoid avoid Coverwise! All the positive reviews you see on Trustpilot relate to the user experience on the website, not the actual claim process which, essentially, doesn't exist. When you have to submit a claim, Coverwise redirects you to AXA, where you need to fill your claim. I haven't heard back in 4 months. Tried emailing (three times), no reply. Tried calling, it's been over 3 hours (yes 3 hours!) on hold. Called AXA directly, they say they take no responsibility whatsoever, that I need to get in touch with Coverwise which is clearly impossible. 40 mins into my call, someone answers, asks for my details then never comes back. Absolutely shocking customer service! What is even more shocking is that AXA underwrites this company then completely detaches itself from any responsibility! Do not purchase insurance from either Coverwise or AXA as you will 100% not get your money back if you have to make a claim.

Fine unless you need to make a claim.. Awful customer service. Declined my claim on the most ridiculous basis and then literally impossible to get hold of to discuss further. They called me from Mexico asking me to call them back, and if you try their freephone number it just rings and rings for ever and then eventually just cuts out.

Long queues to get through. When they answer, you can’t hear them due to issues with their signal or you get cut off. Avoid avoid avoid

Disgusting service. Still waiting 3.5 months after a claim for any response. Have now contacted them 4 times in this time frame, all after the amount of time they have told me to recontact. Each time they say there is a problem with my claim: so why haven't they contacted me to tell me and ask for further details. Not exaggerating but have not had a phone call with them where I have not waited more than 50 minutes on hold. The most recent time was 1 hour and 25 mins, for me to be cut off within 20 seconds of being answered. Still no decision, or contact, or refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

horrendous company they are sharks..dont book travel insurance with these people. I just had an accident requiring urgent medical assistance and they wouldnt approve the claim in advance, I've had to pay out of my own money and they are refusing to reimburse...steer clear of them

I would advise anyone looking that they avoid using Coverwise. I paid for annual travel insurance 4 months ago and still didn't receive my confirmation documents after 4 months and several calls and emails leaving me unknown as to whether I have cover or not. Terrible service from this company. Safer to just buy elsewhere.

Just cancelled my annual Europe multi trip insurance with Coverwise after being years with them. Never had a claim until the beginning of this year. I had an abscess on a tooth in Holland that cost me nearly 700 euros. Found an excuse not to pay clain. All what is written in the coverage such as medical expenses: £20,000,000, Cancellation cover: £2,000, Baggage cover £1,500 sounds good till you have a claim. When I cancelled the cover, they could not be even bothered to ask the reason why. It’s a pity I couldn’t choose 0 stars for this review. Shame on you Coverwise, would not recommend to use.

Awful firm! I logged my claim 2 weeks ago, and its still being processed. At first my claim got declined because they said i paid for my medical bill in Caribbean dollars, which meant that i didn't meet the minimum excess amount, this was completely incorrect after i clearly stated the amount was paid in USD, i even told them what it equated to in GBP, in the initial claim details. It seems the the people on the other end of these claims reviewing them are extremely dim, or they have been directed by someone else to try and do everything in their power not to pay or make it as difficult as possible to pay out, the cynic in me believes its the latter. Communication is diabolical, no one ever responds to emails to their email address or calls back. AVOID! at all costs and go with a reputable firm.

Having trouble contacting and getting any response to our Travel Claim, sent everything they asked for from GP and hospital discharge (emergency operation details), which weren't good enough still wanted to contact GP again, and still nothing this has happened, been going on since October. Totally unacceptable. It shouldn't be this hard to get a legitimate claim paid back.

No simple way to contact and when contacted they never give clear answers or fulfill their contractual obligations of insurance payments. So basically, even if you buy their insurance, it's as good as being without insurance because they will never pay if need be.

Ongoing claim since end of July. Every step is delayed at any possible matter, every time calling for an update is later/tomorrow, still assesing. Unable to escalate to manager. Shame i can't rate 0 star

Extremely poor service and no regard for customers' mental wellbeing. They need to be avoided at all cost. Run a mile. I purchased travel Insurance by Coverwise which is underwritten by AXA and both have lived up to their reputation of extremely poor communications after failing to provide regular updates on the progress of customers’ claims. I have still not settled my claim and it has been open since early September. I have records of chasing them on the claim since I sent my documents and yet till this date 4th November, there has not been a single communication back from them on the progress of my claim. On several occasions (I have a record), they informed me that someone will call me back and in fact promised me, but till this date no one has ever had the decency to call me back. They have admitted that my claim settlement delay has breached the timeline that applies during a stressed Covid period but they have yet once told me how long it will take to get the settlement. They are not to be trusted.

I choose Coverwise insurance for a seven day holiday in the UK. Unfortunately, my wife tweaked her back a few days before we were due to travel and she was advised by the doctor not to go on holiday. Fortunately I was able to renegotiate the holiday dates putting the booking back six months at an additional cost of £91. I contacted Coverwise explaining what I had done and requested a change of insurance date to cover the amended dates. Coverwise were totally unsympathetic and have refused. I will never use this company again as it appears to me they will do anything to make money and are totally unsympathetic to customers needs.
