About Raileasy:

Raileasy.co.uk, the impartial train ticket website is designed to simplify the fare structure and encourage rail travellers to buy their tickets in advance, resulting in savings of up to 80% compared to ‘on the day’ prices. With less steps in the booking process than other websites and no need to register or remember a password, Raileasy.co.uk has made it far simpler for the travelling public to access advance tickets. It also saves rail users time and hassle by automatically checking single and return fares at the same time and displaying the best price for each journey so travellers no longer have to perform a number of searches to find out if single tickets are cheaper. Last Thursday, 24th January, I travelled from Cheltenham Spa to London Paddington via Bristol Parkway on tickets purchased through Raileasy. A projected journey leaving Cheltenham at 14.26, and arriving at London Paddington at 16.30. I left on the delayed 14.26 from Cheltenham, probably about 10 minutes late, meaning that I couldn't catch the connection at Bristol at 15.03. The next London train at 15.30 was cancelled, so I caught the 16.03 which was due in to Paddington at 17.30. This train stopped at Reading, and did not proceed as we waited for a train manager to take us into London. We were finally advised to change trains to one waiting at the next platform. We finally got into London at about 17.50. Can I claim delay compensation ? if so, from whom do I claim it?
