About Riverford:

Riverford Organic is the market leader in organic vegbox home delivery. We have a range of 10 veg and fruit boxes to suit different sized households, and in addition a full range of organic groceries, including meat and meat boxes, dairy, wine, beer and bread.We grow award winning organic veg, and give you lots of recipes to help you enjoy it. You can order a box, add extra items from our range or create an order from scratch (minimum order value applies). Delivery is free by your local vegman or lady and there is no need to be at home when we deliver. There is no contract, so you aren’t tied in to anything and our vegboxes start from just 9.85.

“Very sad. Was with Riverford for years, they always responded when items were mouldy and repaid me. But then suddenly customer service was no longer good. Online chat asked you to wait 3 minutes and nothing happened, massive queues on the phone when it had all been different but a week earlier. I suspect an administrative change to whittle down complaints. So I have gone to another provider.”

“I love everything about this company. The veg boxes are fantastic quality, super fresh and delivered in environmentally-friendly packaging. Their customer service is outstanding: a welcome phone call; a free recipe book; a friendly smile from the delivery man; recipe cards in the boxes. I also love their commitment to growing and operating in a planet friendly way and focusing on seasonality. Well done guys, just brilliant”

“Stated I was allergic to tomatoes so picked a box at the stall with the salesman that didn't include them. When the box turned up, it was full of mouldey tomatoes! Had to bin them and the bag of spinich that was full of brown liquid already. Gave me £5 credit, so cancelled all future orders. Terrible service and super overpriced for what you actually get! Way cheaper to get from a supermarket and lasts so much longer.”

“I chose different products this time absolutely tasty. I chose rainbow carrots, rainbow beetroot. .the taste was awesome. Pears were the best I've ever tasted. Your products so fresh top quality. Never disappoints. Thoroughly recommend. Jane”

“I started to use riverford 2 years ago and was happy at first then it got shoddy so I stopped using them, I went back to Try again and I got soft sprouting potatoes, almost moldy peaches and bruised soft pears and got a £5 credit which I asked tk be returned to my card, sorry its not acceptable at these high prices, iv deleted my account.”

“I got batch off eggs over 30 pounds worth thinking obviously they would be very good being organic etc they gave me savage stomach issue following early next morning it was last thing i ate, definitely wasn't anything else, i could taste eggs when i was belching profusely. Had one off worst bloated stomachs I've had in couple years or so. Never, ever ordering from them again”

“Amazing company. They're B corp certified, home compostable packing, ethical, pay workers a fair wage, theor employee owned, striving to have all electric vehicles by 2025 and amazing customer service (I asked for some help with recipes and they sent me their receipe book for free!). My payment got declined once bit my veg box still arrived! Amazing trustworthy company. Yes the prices are high but your paying for organoc food, grown ethically from an amazing sustainable planet-focused business that teaches its customers so much about whole foods”

“Way overpriced, in style of 'glamping', the 'Riverford Experience', rather than simple and honest organic veggies, without the hype. And the Riverford person I spoke to on the phone was pretty uninspiring, not that friendly, overly businesslike - unlike Piper's Farm in Devon...”

“I cannot praise Riverfords enough and I certainly cannot understand the negative reviews. I have been ordering off Riverfords for a few months now and I have found their veg and fruit to be lovely and fresh. The meat is delicious and fresh.”

“Saw your produce at a stand in Borugh market. Absolutely pitiful wilted veggies. Staff at thebstand v defensive saying " well you can't expect veggies to remain fresh' as if they were doing me a favour to sell this pitiful stuff to me. Improve your quality and do what you claim. Provide top quality fresh veg as is widely available in the EU. Not limp English veg quality please. Your greens- kale and spinach and various salads were absoutley shocking . An absolute disgrace. Raise standards to those of your EU counterparts. And don't blame Brexit and COVID as is the customary contemporary English behaviour for suboptimal quality.”

“3 messed up deliveries in a row, freezer bags no longer being used. Service desk poor excuses and "I'll add £5 credit" solution made us decide after 2 years to stop using them. Service charge earlier this year was okay(ish) but the new schedule (and new contractor?) really messed things up.”

“Awful delivery. You're given no Eta then a series of conflicting times, then a no idea just wait all day. No one wants meat sat in a van all day. It's disgusting. They don't refund and all round don't care. It's been an ongoing issue of delivery with them. People need to stop using them”

“I really can’t praise this company enough! So happy to have found them. We initially started with ordering a veg box only but we’re so impressed with the taste and quality of the produce that we know but our fruit from them also. Yes it is more expensive than supermarket produce but there is good reason for that and you really so get what you pay for. I also really love the recipe kits that they do - these change weekly and use seasonal produce to create tasty little snacks and treats. Their ethos is amazing and I would much rather buy from them and pay a little more knowing that farmers are paid fair prices for their produce and me and my family are eating healthily without hidden toxins. Their service is amazing too - they check in from time to time with a phone call and their delivery drivers are lovely so reliable. They also collect and recycle any packaging from previous weeks. I really look forward to my delivery every week.”
