“Worst experience ever. I bought three pretty pricey tickets for the Taylor Swift concert and never got them. Stubhub said they would give us tickets that were “equal or better” to what we had bought. They did not! We ended up with seats where we couldn’t even see the stage. They were worth about one third of what we had paid. Stubhub refused any refund, I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB and am awaiting a response.”
“Strange thing-I went to purchase tickets to a show, and was told my price was guaranteed for 10 minutes. After entering my email, and the passcode they sent me, the price of my tickets changed. I then called customer service, who told me they had no record of my original price-as if I were lying to them. Not a great experience.”
“I am a disabled yet, and asked for parking at stadium. You don't find out until morning of event, but parking was across a river not next to stadium. Customer service was horrible. Lost my business!”
“StubHub is one of the worst platforms I have ever worked with. I never leave negative reviews but felt I had to here. I purchased the wrong tickets (my fault) as a guest, and since they have to refund, I had to sell them. They make you create an account to sell them but don’t tell you that you technically have two separate accounts (guest and official). I sold my tickets to a friend and transferred them over, securing a sale. No listings left on my account and then they tell me I have another buyer after I sold them? And telling me I have to pay $300 if I can’t complete the sale. Purposely misleading, not user friendly in any way. Awful.”
“Can I give negative stars? I ordered tickets and was given a time frame for shipping them to me - 5 days to send via FedEx, which seemed excessive. Their projected date of delivery to my home was after my travel date, so I tried to use their online system to put in a travel delivery address. The system asked for a date up until which they could deliver to my home; I gave them that and then indicated the cutoff date to deliver to the travel address. That system sucks and didn't work, so I contacted customer service via chat. They were helpful and entered the address I gave them as the travel address and date. I went back into the online system to double check the information, and they had listed the travel address in both locations, but with the correct cutoff date. I change it, so that, if shipped by a certain date, they would come to my home, otherwise, the tickets would go to the travel address. This is all on the same day that I bought the tickets.
Jump to the next day, and I get a notification that they have shipped and will be delivered tomorrow...TO THE TRAVEL ADDRESS. I still had 2 days leeway before I traveled, and wanted to receive them at home, but they screwed that up. I called right after receiving the notification and they tell me there is nothing they can do. I ask why they didn't follow the directions and cut off date that I gave them and they tell me that the shipper messed up. IT WAS STUBHUB! They messed up, but wouldn't own up to it. I still have the FedEx envelope and shipping docs to prove it was their screw up. Fine, at least I can get the tickets.
There is a whole other fiasco with FedEx but that's another story. When I get home, I contact StubHub customer service to ask for a refund of the processing fees - since they didn't fulfil their contract with me. I repeated the same story, but they never seem to get it and claim that they followed the instructions, because the tickets were delivered. I went back and forth with them at least 10 times. When I finally threaten to leave bad reviews everywhere, they tell me they've escalated the case for review, and then that person says there's nothing they can do. I'm sure they just cut and pasted a canned response and never looked into the actual facts of the case. Absolute worst customer service and total rip off for the fees paid to this company. I will NEVER use StubHub or Viagogo (since they bought them too) for anything. I urge you not to either. WORST COMPANY EVER!”
“David in customer service was of no help. You have a Parking Pass INCORRECTLY listed on your website and its fraud. In fact, the Lot K that is drawn on your website doesn’t even produce VIP tickets IN THAT LOT. But because I didn’t fight this before the game started (I had to buy another ticket because I needed to get in the stadium with my son), I am out of my money. I will be sure to NEVER use StubHub again and tell m y entire professional networking of 40K+ to go elsewhere. David in customer service was of no help. “I was excited to find decent Eagles tickets for a decent price, but when I checked out it was more expensive then I thought. I looked at the receipt and there was a $175 service fee. I expect there to be taxes and fees, but that is robbery. Very dishonest if you ask me to tack on $175 right before you checkout. I got a parking pass through Stubhub as well, and I drove around looking for a parking lot that didn't exist. There was only a address. There was no name listed on the parking pass. I finally found the parking area which was a completely different address then the one they gave me. I got to the game an hour later then I had planned. I will never use stubhub again. Save yourself money, time, and frustration and buy your tickets elsewhere!”
“Stubhub is a joke. Bought tickets for the Matt Rife show in Indianapolis in December. It said tickets would be delivered by mobile transfer by the date of the show. After checking all day, an hour before the show i still hadn't received them. I I chatted with the virtual assistant that ultimately sent me to customer service. With a wait of 30-45 minutes didn't have time to wait as the show was about to start. Ended up buying new tickets and figured I would deal with it the next day. Contacted customer service the next day and they refused to give me a refund. I will NEVER purchase tickets here again. Thanks for taking a few hundred dollars!!”
“I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with StubHub. I purchased tickets for a concert in April 2025 in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, my order was canceled without any explanation or notification.
To make matters worse, StubHub continues to withdraw funds from my account, despite the cancellation of my order. I have attempted to contact their customer service team twice, and both times I was met with unhelpful and suspicious responses that seemed more like a scam than a legitimate attempt to resolve my issue.
As a result of this frustrating and unprofessional experience, I have lost trust in StubHub and will not be using their services again. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when using this platform.
Furthermore, I believe that StubHub's business practices warrant a report to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I hope that by sharing my experience, I can help prevent others from facing similar issues and prompt StubHub to review and improve their customer service and business practices.
Rating: 1/5 stars”
“Bought tickets for Pentatonix in section 4 was given tickets in section 228 totally different area! 4 was on the floor. 228 was up 2 levels.
Also bought prepaid parking voucher for a parking area and said area was completely full of other cars! No one there to help and they will not give refund!”
“WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER!!! Bought park pass in 09/2024 for concert in 12/2024. Park Pass mysteriously got cancelled 10/2024 with NO notification. Found this out 4 days before the concert, even after receiving notice from StubHub that the park pass e-ticket was available. After contacting StubHub, was told 'it was cancelled by the third-party seller' with no valid explanation. Requested alternate park pass via StubHub & an order was created; HOWEVER, park pass wasn't RELEASED until 2 hours before the concert and we were unable to go due to drive time. In those 4 days leading to the concert, we decided to sell the concert tickets bc we had no place to park (hadn't heard back in a timely manner on the alternate park pass). WTF??? Once the new park pass was FINALLY issued, attempted to SELL ticket online, but it kept getting kicked back 'unable to sell'. What a f***ing racket this business is! Will never--ever, ever, ever--have dealings with this God-awful business again. Lost a sh*t-ton of $$ to this excuse of a business. Would rank them a big fat ZERO stars, but the review process won't allow that. Go figure...”
“Stub hub is a complete rip off over $300 in tickets never released, refusing to give refund because I didn't call in the night of the event to report problem with tickets !! Customer service doesn't speak English ....horrible experience never using them again !! Buyers beware!!”
“Tried to attend an event on November 16th. Found out while trying to get into the show that the seller falsely advertised the event time of the tickets. I purchased 7:30 tickets and found out I was sent 10pm tickets. We couldn’t attend the show at 10pm, so we just didn’t get to go. I immediately responded to the email that told me my tickets were ready, letting them know we were turned away and the wrong tickets were provided. I found out later that the email was a no reply email. I then submitted a ticket on AXS, to then fine out that I needed to go to Stubhub. I replied to my stubhub email confirmation, to find it was also a no-reply, so I submitted a ticket. Being were 3 weeks past the event, they refuse to refund me as tickets have to be submitted within 7 days. I have proof that tried to kick off this process within an hour of the show I wasn’t able to get into. I have several other attempts over the last several weeks, they protect the fraudulent seller instead. It’s disgusting the way this company exploits buyers and continues to enable sellers. They need to also make their process for submitting claims tickets easier. I had to find a chat bot on the website before I could find where to actually submit a ticket. I’m sure this is all intentional. I realize I emailed a no reply email the night of, and sure that’s on me. I did what I thought was best to have the most immediate time stamp I could to prove I wasn’t lying. The fact that they refuse to even review that proof to make an exception. Goes to show their mission was never to connect people with events they love, but rather to perpetuate the scalping and immoral ticketing industry.”
“I will never purchase tickets from StubHub ever again. For over 30 days, I kept getting error messages when trying to claim my tickets to a Cirque du Soleil show. Despite numerous calls to customer service, I received nothing but excuses and no real help. They refused to issue a refund until the day of the event—just 3.5 hours before the show! When they finally offered a refund, they also presented “upgraded” alternative tickets. These were in a far worse section and were being sold for half the price elsewhere. It felt incredibly dishonest and added to the frustration. This entire experience was a disaster, and I strongly advise against using StubHub.”
“I purchased a parking pass for a football game that I couldn't even use. The pass was invalid and it was suppose to be for parking in a garage. It was actually a parking lot with no attendant to verify purchase. I ended up having to pay again to park. Stubhub refuses to refund my money. What a rip off!”
“I purchased 2 tickets for $359 to a sold out concert three weeks before the event. I received my tickets the day of the concert(Friday). Once we got to the concert, the tickets were invalid and said they were for the next day(Saturday). The email confirmation and even the email the day of the event said the tickets were for Friday, but the tickets that were downloaded said they were for Saturday.
On Saturday, our tickets were still invalid and we were told there were two other couples that purchased those tickets/seats through Stub Hub and a third couple who purchased their tickets through the venue. The couple who purchased their tickets through the venue got the seats. We went to the ticketing counter of the venue and since we purchased through Stub Hub, there was nothing they could do, except they had 2 tickets for sale for $300 each. We declined since we already paid $359 on Stub Hub.
I’m giving Stub Hub 1 star only because they refunded my money back. Not only was our time wasted both nights, but we were out $20 for parking on Friday night and $40 for an Uber on Saturday night. Not only did we get scammed on our tickets, but two other couples were sold the same seats and they didn’t get to see the concert either. This was my first time purchasing tickets from Stub Hub and will be my last time ordering tickets from this site.”
