“Do not buy from stub hub nor the person who selling section 118
We got here from north carolina, stayed at a nice hotel for 2 days . Went to access 3 tickets that we purchase in June were not available
We look on the website the seller was trying to resell our tickets for a higher price
Stubhub did nothing”
“I’ve purchased 3 times through the download app and received my tickets within a matter of minutes along with an email. The tickets were for a college football games along with parking tickets. I had zero problems and no hidden fees. The best part is that I also saved money too. Other apps were charging me double. I’m completely confused about all the negative reviews, I suppose I’ve been super lucky!”
“Bought tickets 10 days in advance. Never received any update or tickets but when I called, they assured me the tickets or comparable tickets would be available. Drove 2 hours to the venue. Planned a pre-show dinner with my four other family members near the venue but was on the phone with StubHub customer service the entire time, sitting in the foyer of the restaurant. Ultimately, no tickets from StubHub. In a happy turn of events, I told my story to the folks in the restaurant who picked up the phone and got me five tickets 20 minutes before showtime. StubHub, never again. And I’m telling everyone I meet. The restaurant has my business for life. And I’m telling everyone I meet.”
“Absolutely horrible!!! I was sick and had to sell my ticket for an Adele concert. The website said that there is a buyer interested in my ticket, but the buyer’s payment is under investigation. For 4 hours they blocked my ticket, and when I asked for my ticket back, they told me that they can’t give it back. They just stole my ticket and never paid any money for it. Absolute crooks!!!!”
“Just Terrible.
Bought tickets for college football game two months ago in another State and arranged to have family fly in. Night before event, was told the seats we bought were no longer available and were offered “alternative” seats by the seller which were significantly worse. We did not agree to this and were told a link would be sent to use with other options which never came and that the issue would be escalated (never happened). We called the customer service line several times and each time each time was like “ground hog day”. Never had issues remotely as poorly handled buying / selling tickets on Seat geeks or Ticketmaster.
I have not written a negative review in over 10 years but our interaction with this company compelled me to try to alert folks how bad they are.”
“Well it's an automatic one start when you get hung up on they do nothing for me to give me no information don't waste your money pay the extra $10 for the seat from somebody else their quote ticket purchase to seat is fake and not true do not waste your money here I again do not waste your money here multiple bad experiences”
“Absolutely Horrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs!
From a buyer's perspective: I purchased tickets to a play for my family, but 60 minutes before the show, I received a call saying the seller had decided not to sell the tickets after all. According to their policy, they are supposed to find replacement tickets, but despite other seats being available (albeit in better and more expensive sections), they refused to provide them. I had no choice but to buy from a different vendor at 300% of the original price just to avoid missing the show we were already en route to.
From a seller's perspective: I sold tickets and delivered them on time, with proof that the buyer received them. However, I was hit with a "canceled tickets fee" of nearly $200. After providing evidence and spending almost five hours in chats and on phone calls, I’m still fighting to get my money back—six weeks later! They even acknowledged in writing that it was a mistake, yet keep insisting "nothing can be done until it's approved." No one can tell me how long that will take.
This company is beyond incompetent and unethical. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away!”
“Do not get your tickets from Stubhub. They were only able to refund me 25% not even to my card but credit with them which I will avoid using. I had bought 2 tickets for a concert and only sent one. I had to buy another ticket at the door. BIG FAIL!”
“Stubhub changed the listing price from $ 1,500 to $400. They sold less than 5 minutes and I called to dispute within 20 minutes. They charged my card and would not refund. This is robbery.”
“before i start i did not want to even give 1 star, so ignore that and imagine i could put NEGATIVE 50 STARS. do not and i mean DO NOT buy from stubhub. they swear up and down that they are legit and they do “checks on sellers” if you ask them and they can check if they are legit. regardless of if they are or not they will tell they are legit because they are liars. i bought tickets to a concert today back in april and i was promised multiple times by stubhub support that they checked the seller and i will 100% be getting my tickets on the day of. which i did receive my tickets only for the accept tickets button to not work. and you’d think you could contact stubhub support for help.. but NO. they do NOT care. they do NOT do their job. they continued to be rude to us even after the initial pickup of the phone they were instantly rude. and when we rightfully asked to speak to a supervisor we were told no by 3 out of the 4 people we spoke to and the last one we didn’t even try to get a supervisor that time bc we knew it wouldn’t work and 2 of them literally hung up on us!!!!!! like they do not do their job. they do not care. i wanted to speak with someone who cared but every person i tried was an awful person. they don’t care about their own ticket policy and honoring it. we asked for new tickets and they told us no. so we waited in line all day in hopes of getting barricade to our favorite singer only to have to leave the line and go home after being there for 7 hours because stubhub did not care and did not help us get “comparable or better tickets” according to their own policy. as well as when they were clearly talking to my boyfriend, they kept misgendering him and he corrected them EVERY SINGLE TIME and they continued ignore him and say “ma’am” which is blatant transphobia. so on top of not getting tickets we spent $900 on, we had to deal with transphobia in 2024. i am in absolute shock by this website and how it is run. this website is a scam. DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM STUBHUB! STUBHUB DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! STUBHUB IS A SCAM RUN BY RUDE INCELS!”
“I’m incredibly disappointed in my recent experience with StubHub. After being assured of a full charge reversal due to a confusing transaction, StubHub’s support team has gone back on their word, refusing to honor their initial commitment. Every time I reach out, I receive the same generic, copy-pasted response, with no actual resolution or escalation.
This lack of accountability feels unprofessional and is especially disappointing given the high fees StubHub charges. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, both buying and selling tickets, and expected a reputable company to stand by its commitments. If StubHub values its long-term customers, they should address this issue, rather than push it aside with scripted responses.
I’d advise others to be cautious when dealing with StubHub. If an issue arises, there’s no guarantee they’ll make it right – and getting any meaningful support may be more frustrating than it’s worth. I hope they address these issues before more customers have similar experiences.”
“Through the purchasing process somehow booked tickets for a venue same day in another state vs 2 days later for a local venue. Discovered immediately and first rep hung up on us and second rep could care less that transaction was in error 5 minutes prior. They hadn’t even processed the credit card charge over an hour later but refused to issue a credit for the correct event.”
“StubHub might possibly be the worst company I have ever dealt with in 40 years. I purchased 4 tickets on 3/3/2024 for a surprise birthday present for my wife, 7 months prior to the Garth Brooks concert on 10/4/2024 in Las Vegas. My credit card was charged that day and when I tried to download the tickets that StubHub said were ready and available, I was prompted on there website that I would need to wait until closer to the concert date to retrieve the mobile tickets. So I waited 3 months and went back to the website to download said tickets as instructed. To my shock, I received a message stating that the tickets had been claimed by another email address. After at least 20 phone calls with their company and numerous representatives over the next 4 months, I never received the tickets. I was assured with every subsequent phone call that my situation was being “escalated” and that I would receive the tickets. This never happened and I was able to purchase new tickets from Ticketmaster an hour before the concert. After the concert, requested a refund for the money I paid for the tickets I never received from StubHub. At least 15 subsequent calls, several emails, “escalations” on their part, and finally a complaint with the BBB, I received the full refund over a month later. This company can’t be trusted and does bad business. I have spent countless hours trying to remedy a situation that should have been very easy to resolve. I would never recommend this company to anyone who needs concert tickets.”
“NEVER USING STUBHUB again!!! If I could leave zero stars or less, I would!
I bought tickets for my daughter and I in May for a concert in November. The day of the event I STILL had not yet recieved my tickets. I called customer service and they informed me that the are a secondary market and were waiting for the seller to release the tickets. They told me the seller had until 3 hours before the event to release them. That time passed, so I called StubHub again and was told that those tickets I bought in May were NOT going to be available, but that they would attempt to get me other tickets up to an HOUR before the event and I could get refunded if those tickets were not acceptable to me. I asked the rep to just refund me, because I was going to search for other tickets elsewhere IMMEDIATELY, because we had traveled over 5 hours and spent hundreds of dollars for a hotel, plus my 12 yr old daughter would have been so disappointed, and I wasnt willing to wait until an hour before the concert to MAYBE receive tickets. I proceeded to buy other tickets since, I was promised a refund from StubHub... some 30 minutes later the original tickets were magically available. I called customer service again and was told that since the tickets I was told with CERTAINTY that I could NOT HAVE, were now actually released, there was nothing they could do about it. I was on the phone arguing and fighting with them for over an hour and they made me go through this ridiculous process BEFORE the concert in order to be able to get a refund. They are awful.”
“I purchased tickets to a concert recently and a few days before the concert I realized that I couldn't attend. The tickets were sold on Stubhub at a lost, but now trying to receive the funds from that sale has been a nightmare. I have received 2 emails from them stating that my bank has been declining their deposit. Those deposits were supposedly done on 2 different days. However, after contacting my bank I found out that there have been no attempts by them to deposit those funds. Also, each time they say that they made an attempt, it resets the time that you should receive your funds.”
“I purchased tickets through StubHub and to claim the ticket it sends you to TicketMaster. My TicketMaster account was hacked and I was not able to login to claim the tickets. I paid over $1300.00 for these tickets and was very upset I was not able to go. I spoke with StubHub several times and they knew what the issue was. I was told it was under review and that not to worry because the StubHub FanProtect Guarantee would cover this, and I would either get tickets that I would be able to use or I would get a full refund. I contacted StubHub several times and it was the same answer every time. Then when I contacted them today since I never heard anything back, they allowed that it wasn't their problem, it was TicketMasters. Why couldn't they have told me that from the very beginning instead of waiting to tell me that after the concert was already over. So then I contact TicketMaster and they said they couldn't help me because I bought through StubHub. So now I am out over $1300.00 and will absolutely NEVER do business with StubHub again. I will be telling everyone I know about this issue.”
