“Parcel was due on 23 April. Have taken THREE DAYS off work waiting around for my item. Finally the website said the item was loaded onto the van today but the van has been stationary in Sunderland all day according to the tracking system. It will be 4 days late if the item does arrive tomorrow but I can't take any more time off so they'll just have to leave the item on the porch. I tried contacting customer service by phone but hung up after waiting 30 mins on hold. I've emailed twice but not had a response. Ridiculous company - how can they get away with this?”

I am saddened to have to write this message to you, but at 1025 today, I took a call from Gail who said that the items will be with me at 1500 today – Obviously in my previous messages, I said I will not be waiting around after 1030 and so the items will be returned to sender (again)
Let me just give you a timeline of events from when I first made contact with you yesterday evening:
• Grace called my wife and told her that the items ‘Will be delivered tomorrow at a time convenient to you’ – Hence why I said up to 1030 as I wasn’t prepared to wait around for a third day for XDP to deliver an item. Clearly Grace lied. Grace also said in the aforementioned call that Gail would be calling my wife ‘at 0800 in the morning’. Well… We never actually got the call from Gail until 0926.
• When Gail called me, she said she would look into this immediately and come back to me asap. She didn’t then call until 1025 to say that the delivery wouldn’t be there until 1500.
• In between 0930 and 1025, your National Franchise Support Manager messaged me to say that: ‘I can tell you that there is one piece in Birmingham and one piece in leicester. The one in leicester will hopefully be with you between 3-5pm. I not sure what time the other one is due’ – Clearly again demonstrating that nobody actually knew for sure where the items were, and when they would be coming. Why should I therefore wait again for items to ‘hopefully’ come.
I am really disappointed in how this has been handled, but trying to turn a negative into a positive, I think I can help.
From my recent experience, and looking at others on TrustPilot and other review sites, it is clear you have a number of staff issues within your organisation, as follows:
• Grace is a liar – I would look to replace her immediately.
• Gail doesn’t start work until 0926 (unless she is meant to, in which case there is no issue here)
• Your National Franchise Support Manager doesn’t actually know what is going on within his network.
• Your franchise in Lutterworth is terrible. I would replace all staff there as they too lie on the phone
• Your online tracking system is poor and need replacing.

“Had to come back home early from work to make the estimated time of delivery, which they posted AFTER I went to work. It was a mattress, so I couldn't risk having to go pick it up or them leaving it just anywhere. They didn't show up until the end of the day. Then it's back at at their depot for a whole day the next day, with no mention of delivery. Then the next day they give you another estimated time of delivery, and they did make it but missed by a half an hour during which time I tried to call their customer service, but nobody answers the phone for ten minutes. Luckily the item was delivered soon after (I guess I was the lucky one), but absolutely horrible customer experience. I'd pay more to avoid it.”
“Absolutely atrocious service. Only delivered half of an item I'd ordered which ships in separate boxes; when I asked the other half was I was informed it would arrive "first thing tomorrow", the driver had clearly just forgotten to load it onto the van. When the item then didn't appear "first thing tomorrow" I called several times and was repeatedly lied to about where the item was and what time it would arrive; still no sign of it. Driver now refuses to take my calls and the office line rings out to voicemail. Don't order anything from anyone who uses them.”
“Retailer has been excellent but XPD won’t even respond to them!
Twice now it’s been set to “exception - check address”. I’m in a new build but emailed them with very specific instructions and never got a response, I also spoke to the vendor who again sent specific instructions.
I’m not sure who is running XPD but when the retailer of the goods say “we have this problem all the time” it’s not good.
Apparently we must live in the most impossible place to navigate - although plenty of other couriers can find the place. Especially with the instructions having the builders name on the as the sign at the main road is 12” high and BACKLIT!”
“The worst company ever! they can not even be contacted as no one answers the phone.You leave a message on their answer machine and they don't return your call. My delivery never arrived when promised and on one occasion the company said that an attempted delivery had been made but no one was in. Complete lies as I was in all day waiting on them. days go by and I'm still waiting....eventually I receive half of my delivery and still await the rest. My experience with this company has been so bad that I am going to get trading standards in to have a look.”
