I visited an Ace Hardwear store and was so disappointed at the prices. I haven't been there a while. Ace once was the all American hardware where we could find almost anything. Now Ace is higher than the big box stores. That was my last trip there. The staff are not friendly has no personality. I didn't purchaseanything. I rather go someplace else and at least get a smile if nothing else. But they never have to worry about me visiting again and I know one person don't matter, but I hope in end everyone stop shopping there.

The Cost of Overlooking Real Workers – Ace Burlington, WI During my time as a cashier, I was more than just someone who rang up transactions—I built relationships with customers, made them feel valued, and went beyond my job description daily. Whether it was helping a struggling customer, looking out for the remodel crew, or creating a welcoming atmosphere that brought people back, I made an impact. And yet, management chose to dismiss that value. I was denied basic breaks due to staffing shortages while others received preferential treatment. I witnessed a culture that encouraged complacency and protected incompetence while disregarding those who actually did the work. When I advocated for myself, I was met with condescension rather than appreciation. Now, with two locations severely understaffed, I’m curious—who will step up? Who will bring the heart and dedication that I, and others like me, brought every single day? I am a Military Veteran, honored with an Army Achievement Medal, a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and a NATO Medal. I am a graduate of Alverno College, multilingual, and have years of customer service and teaching experience. I am also someone who genuinely cares about people and the community. But despite all that, Ace Burlington would rather overlook real value to focus on people who do not contribute where it matters most—inside the stores, connecting with the communities that keep Ace alive. Ace prides itself on being "The Helpful Place," but when management fails to respect and retain its best employees, what kind of help is actually being provided? I hope corporate starts paying closer attention before more dedicated, hardworking employees walk out the door—taking the true magic of the store with them. Sincerely, Milanka Sulejic

I placed 2 separate orders online. BOTH orders were canceled 3 days later? Cannot depend on Ace....will shop someplace else.

I used to appreciate shopping here 1-2 times/week for decades, but have learned they donate ninety to Project 2025. I will not be shopping at Ace any longer.

The ACE Hardware store deliberately places an offer for goods that are not actually available for sale. This deal is placed to attract customers who will buy something else in addition to this product. Then the sale of the offer is unilaterally cancelled by the store. My online order # 54457153-54457463 was cancelled without apology or compensation. Before that, I went to the store twice after receiving a letter that the goods were in stock. The store is quite far from me. And there they told me that such goods were not available. This is a deliberate action of the store, which deceives customers. I think that such stores are not needed at all. Large retail chains like Home Depot or Lowe's are enough. The range of goods there is sufficient. And they act honestly with customers. ACE Hardware stores should soon disappear with such an attitude to business and customers. I will never buy anything from ACE Hardware again and I recommend everyone else not to do business with them.

I called before I came and asked if you carried deer corn. I called Tractor Supply and Atwoods. They only sell the deer corn in 40 lb bags. Your store told me you had 5lb and 10 lb bags. I was so happy because I don't need very much. I went to your store on Aspen. I asked where the deer corn was located. Politely, the lady at cash register said, I'm sorry, we do not carry it. I said will you please check with your manager. She did. The manager said they did not have it. I said, Someone in this store lied to me! Someone lied to me to get me in the front door. I know this sales tactic and I don't appreciate it. That is what went wrong.

Purchased new Weber grill. Had Ace Hardware assemble and delivere. Grill has not worked correctly since it was delivered to my home. Ace staff tell me to call Weber, Ace will not provide any assistance with the problem.

I just went to buy a plastic sheer to cut a small piece of plastic and the guy sold me pliers saying it would be cheaper and easy since I only needed this for one job. Yes I’m dumb for listening and buying it but I figured he works there he knows. I’m cussing out the neighbors bcuz it isn’t doing squat but bending the plastic

Very unhappy with ACE hardware for this order. Placed the order and it said ready for pick up in 15 minutes, I'm 20 minutes away so I left for ACE to pick up my order. When I got there I did some additional shopping at the check out they told me my order was canceled. I ordered 3 different items and because 1 of them was not available they cancelled the entire order. Two of the items where there so I tried to purchase them with other items I picked up while shopping but could not use the $5 off coupon with $30 purchase because it was used for the online order, the cashier gave me a number to call to get it re-instated but when I called they told me it would take 72 hours to get the $5.00 coupon back. I'm very unhappy with ACE hardware and will be doing more business with TRUE VALUE. Why even have a web site if the items you say will be ready are not there. I always check to make sure the items say ready for pick up in 15 minutes.

Cancelled half my order and never issued a refund on the cancelled items. I've called customer service 5 times and they tell me they have a "team" working on it. Why does it take a team of people weeks to do a refund on something they never shipped? Can they not perform basic retail practices?

You order something on their web site, of course the delivery date is fictional....you call corporate to get your money back, until the item arrives at the store...I said ok what's the tracking number...they don't have one...then they say the next delivery date is a week away but you won't get a refund until it arrives at the store....who says they will contact you even if it does arrive??? They hokd you and your money hostage....screw ace....I will never buy a damn thing from them ever again.... they are a complete train wreck

I was a customer of your Azle Texas store, after the treatment I received I am on a quest to make sure the world knows just what horrible customer service they provide. I ordered a grill and cover online. For some very strange reason, the online system had me pick up the cover at the Hudson Oaks store. The grill has been one disappointment after another. The first was a corporate issue, because the grill was not sent to the store that time promised. Then the first trip, as I was told by the staff was made and I “chose” to ignore them. I was at home with a stomach bug and could not do anything except sip on water and put one end or the other over the toilet. Well, I called to get that righted and was put in hold forever and the woman tried to shame me into agreeing that I was this horrible person, but when that did not work she then rushed me off the phone and made arrangements for a second delivery attempted. They called me, so they say, but I got a text that said they were 10 minutes from my home. I waited outside in the cold for 15-20 minutes to no avail and then thought maybe they were waiting on my reply, so I did reply with “excellent.” After staying outside for another 15 minutes, I had to leave do I had my grandson who is 24, stand outside and wait for them he waited for quite sometime and then had to go in to warm up. They cancelled my order. I called and the same woman who was so dismissive and rude. She agreed that I could reorder and she would call me to arrange delivery. I was never called, but I did get an email stating my order was ready for pick up. I called to ask about my grill and was met with rudeness and hostility. One male figure when I explained my issue, cut me off and said they called. I had no missed call. I told him that I would never do business with their store after I got the grill and he actually said he was glad and hoped that I would take my business elsewhere. Then without a word passed me to another male figure who told me that the phone was given to him and when tried to explain that my Christmas was ruined because my husband was going to have to come pick up the grill and he hung up on me in the middle of me talking. I called back and advised who answered that my husband was on the way and thanked them for ruining my Christmas. He was saying it was my fault not theirs when I hung up on him. My husband is in his way to the store, God help me if he does not come home with his gift.

Yesterday I went to the Ace hardware at3665 S. Rainbow Blvd #100 A-B Las Vegas, NV 89103. I bought a breaker that was $68.00. I gave the checker (tall black guy and a short older lady was standing next to him. I gave him a $100.00 bill and he gave it to the short lady and she left. I asked the guy what she was doing. He said that she needed to take it to the back and check my $100.00 bill and then she had to put it in the safe. What kind of Down syndrome logic is that? He said he couldn't finish my transaction until he got the ok. Meanwhile, I have to stand at the front of the store with other customers also waiting for me to finish my transaction.. If she wants to get rid of fake C-notes that she got from another customer. She has plenty of time to swap it out a good C-note. It's now her word against mine bc no one saw her scan my C-note. That can't be legal not to scan it in front of the customer. The black cashier said that's how it's always done when you pay with a C-note, he wasn't apologetic for having to stand there and wait. That has to be the worst store policy I have ever heard of. That's called mismanaged, I'll never go back to that store.

A very dissatisfied unhappy Rewards member with Ace Hardware The Story Goes I received a coupon in the mail use the coupon as indicated tried to return the item to do an exchange at a different location different state but had to go through drama one store could only accommodate to a certain degree refund partial of it said I lost the coupon another store wouldn't touch it called corporate office twice only to have drama and not being able to issue a one-time code to give me that discount to repurchase the item it would have been simple if Ace Hardware would let you just simply do an exchange if you bought it at any Ace Hardware in the United States plain and simple what a novel idea for a policy and procedure everybody out there please be very mindful if you purchase an item and you need to return it what the return policy is going to be

Horrible customer service, i placed order on 11/07/24. My order was never shipped, i had to call customer service to 4 times for my refund, and all they can tell me $245.05 is over their limit and they have to get approval. not to mention the 4 times i called each call was 30 minutes or longer. today 12/03 they sent me email they are refunding me the money, but not the 48.95 shipping fee, knowing the items never left their warehouse. so, I'm still waiting to see when i get my money back. never again i will shop form ace.

Placed order billed and shipped within 48 hours Package arrived short one item Called customer support with request for replacement Now 8 days have passed with no product Not even a confirmation that item has shipped Avoid the hassle go to the store and buy if they don’t have it find it somewhere else Terrible customer service

I bought a Dewalt weed wackier and string for it. They did not have dealt string so they gave me an “Ace brand” string. Once I run out of the Dewalt string, the Ace string did not fit. They refused to exchange or give me a credit for their own brand product. On top of it, the clerk had a nasty attitude as if it belonged to another store or its not their brand.

Went into the store at Fairview Ave Boise around 4pm today. As I walked in an employee approached me in a manner that left me feeling unappreciated, even suspected. Told him I was there to pass the time while my wife shopped elsewhere. He didn’t seem happy about that. Bought a few things, went to where the staff were congregating, (store was practically empty) and he brusquely led me to the checkout. Won’t be back for quite a while.
