About AKRacing Australia:

AKRacing has come a long way since their inception in 2001, where their focus was solely on the production of race car seats. The AKRacing brand was previously known as AK Seat. Fast forward to 2008 and AKRacing now specializes in producing premium and ergonomic gaming and office chairs and equipment.

The AKRacing brand was introduced into the Australian market back in 2015, where they continue to operate out of the leafy green suburb of Kirrawee. AKRacing now has distributors all over the world - America, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Tahiti and Europe, just to name a few.

Something that sets AKRacing apart from their competitors is that they do 100% of their own designs, R&D, product development, testing and quality control. AKRacing highly guarantee their products, as they manufacture every single part, which means that they do not have to source these components from other suppliers, allowing them to ensure the quality is always consistent.

Currently AKRacing Australia offers their chairs in 3 different materials, which feature across 9 different chair series, boasting an impressive range of over 45 different chairs in total.

“tl;dr For $100 more I could have got a real office chair that actually offers some form of ergonomics, that wouldn't leave me in pain at the end of the day and actually feels comfortable to sit in, and offers a reasonable warranty Instead I chose to buy this, by no means is it an AWFUL chair, but I should have at least put in some research before purchasing it. It's not a chair that you can comfortably spend 8 hours in, I've owned it for about 4 years now. Right at the warranty was about to end the gas lift begun to fail, I was busy with work at the time so I decided to tear down the chair once I got some time off and figure out what was causing it. The whole seat base was rusting, the gas lift was failing, and the wheel base and gas lift had rusted together, unable to be torn apart. Thankfully the warranty team from akracing were nice enough to replace the entire bottom half of my chair, a week outside of warranty after being told that consumer law exists and that I would be contacting the ACCC for advice. Another 6 months outside of warranty the plastic "leather" on my chair begun peeling at the end of the seat, and half way up the back, where the pillow backrest would sit (i.e rubbed off). For the price I paid, 5-10 year warranty is the standard from proper office chair companies, they offer more adjustability, more comfort and more after sales care. The only upside to this purchase is that I've learned taking a car seat design and sitting in it as an office chair is the worst decision anybody has ever made, pleather shouldn't be on a $500 chair and 10 years warranty is the standard in the industry at that price. It's given me a list of things I should avoid as I shop for a new chair now.”

“Chair is decent. Expensively priced in terms of comfort. Aesthetics are great, but the fact that AK Racing does not replace arm rest material when damaged is a let down.”

“Chair was easy to assemble and were made from well built materials. Comfort wise, it is outstanding and as I expected. I have owned this chair for a couple of years now and it's still just as comfortable and sturdy as the day i bought it. I definitely would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new comfortable gaming chair.”

“The chair is great but unfortunately i had to bump down the rating because the gas lift chamber failed really early on and not many things are more annoying than a sinking chair :( if not for this i would of happily rated 5 stars”

“My daughter purchased my K7 Akracing chair for me as a Birthday gift and after having so many other brand chairs that would let me down... I will never have another gaming chair other then Akracing... “Had my chair for a few years, it is a good chair. The only downside is always needing to adjust the lower back pillow as it’s only attached by two elastic straps and it slides down. Other than that, the padding and pleather are still as good as new.”
