“This platform is a perfect illustration of unprofessionalism and subpar service. Instead of genuinely helping you, they appear more interested in stealing your hard-earned money. I wish I had done more research on them first. In a month, I lost thirty-two thousand dollars. Fortunately, I complained to C O V S E C L T D*C O M, and last week they assisted me in getting my money back.”

“I tried to withdraw money from my account for nearly three months, but they kept telling me it was "processing." Seriously, how long does it take to process? There’s no trusting a company that holds onto your money, promises it'll arrive shortly, and three months later, you’re still empty-handed. Yet, they kept trying to convince me to use more of their services and send them even more money. “Most unprofessional experience in respect of a mortgage application. Underwriters take weeks to make basic underwriting decisions and ask question that are irrelevant to the case. Far better lenders in the UK. Avoid”

“I have an easy access savings account. They have locked my savings account which has a significant amount of money in it a seven figure sum. I cannot access it. It’s been going on for weeks and weeks with going from customer services to customer services. I am unable to speak to anyone in authority. They are deliberately keeping my money. This is a scam bank. I have lodged with financial ombudsman and also starting a fraud investigation. This bank is run by criminals. Avoid like the plague. Avoid avoid avoid. Worst bank ever.”

“Truly shocking customer service. Weeks and weeks and weeks of no service. No one will take responsibility for anything. Passed from pillar to post endlessly. Unable to talk to anyone in a position of responsibility. Cause me great stress and anxiety. At one point I was going to call the police on them as I’m still not sure they are scammers. Avoid avoid avoid.”

“Absolutely awful experience, been over 7 weeks (last 3 weeks with underwriter) and keep getting palmed off - keeping telling my broker that it will be dealt with 'today' and never is - despite escalating as complaint. Seller now getting restless as planned date was 31st but we are now a week past this date....and still no further with Aldermore so Solicitor cannot give a 'new' completion date. Please avoid at all costs!”

“So after being told there is a 10 day turnaround & what seems to be a straight forward process/transaction. I’ve been waiting for 21 days for Aldermore Bank to sign off/authorise a 2nd charge onto my property to secure a loan/mortgage. No amount of any phone calls or emails from me, my mortgage broker or solicitor seems to make any difference to this company. They have No empathy or urgency towards Customers needs. Absolutely incompetent. Avoid !”

“What a terrible company for mortgages, made me wait 7/8 weeks, do not stop asking irrelevant questions then make you wait weeks for a response but that stage I have lost the house as I could not get an straight answer from them. I would avoid these like the plague, not worth wasting your time with them.”

“I applied for a saving account for my business with Aldermore, on the recommendation of CashPlus with which I have a corporate checking account. The application, made on 21 March 2024, went through fine and they promised to get back to me within a day or two. Not having heard anything, however, on 29 March I tried to log into my account only to have a message say my account was on hold. I contacted Aldermore's customer service, which responded on 2 April stating that a "due diligence team manager [would] review and return to [me] with an update [...] tomorrow." The "tomorrow" came and went but, by 18 April, I had received nothing. I therefore emailed them again asking they discontinue my application process. Some others have had a positive experience with Aldermore and I am happy for them. Me? I received lousy customer service and sore lack of attention right at the very first step of becoming its customer. An institution that fails at this very first hurdle like this is not worth my trust or my confidence with my hard-earned money.”

“I have had the most shocking experience with this bank trying to transfer a significant sum to put into a cash ISA, this process started at the beginning of February and the transfer is still incomplete due to their inefficiency. After all the disgraceful reviews you would think Ben Taylor their customer experience executive would do something about this . I’m loosing cash if this continues I will be dealing with the ombudsman”

“Don't waste your time on theses. It would be 0 stars from me if that was an option. They give you an agreement in principle. They let you put an offer in on a house. They say they are happy you can make the repayments. They let you instruct your solicitors (which means a down payment). They send out a surveyor to the property (who is happy with it). Then at the last second when everything is about to get finalised they pull back their offer with no understandably explanation. Absolute joke of a company.”

“Very poor service…the staff are very friendly but you cannot get sense out of the business…I must warn all potential investors that although interest rates are good with this African company owned by The First Rand Group you will have difficulty withdrawing your money….the bank is Uk government backed…but I would suggest you deposit your funds elsewhere”

“possessed a verified mortgage offer from this bank. eight months of account checks were completed.I eventually received the offer. As agreed upon during the offer procedure, I paid off my credit card debt. using their attorneys to handle the remortgage conveyancing. Had to give them extra money in fees. They then undervalued my house by $100,000, which required me to reapply for a loan and have further checks done. I eventually gave in to pressure to finish in order to keep my house, so I took on a higher interest rate. After I paid $5,000 for certain document processing, they withdrew my mortgage 24 hours before completion. I reported them to the money recovery organization KEZOOK, and I was able to get my money back.”
