“Pink Grapefruit My wife and I are long term Aldi customers and generally what they sell is very good. We regularly buy their pink grapefruit but in the past months have found them to be bruised and soft and taste well past their sell buy date. This applies to more than one of their stores. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing anything similar?”

“Your prices for dry goods are very good. However, your produce stinks. Strawberries with mold. Grapes shriveled. I just purchased asparagus. That night I opened the bag. The tips were mush. Your bananas are bruised because you put them in a big box and those in the bottom get crushed. I don’t buy your fruits and vegetables.”

“Aldis must have changed potato chip supplier. The last 3 bags of salt and vinegar chips have been greasy, largest 1" ( 25mm) lots of broken chips very salty and no vinegar taste. They used to be exceptional. But no more, I guess cost wins over quality. Sad. No more chips from Aldi for me.”

“Bought Haddock fishcakes clearly showing "Haddock fishcakes", cook them and start eating and find they have cheese sauce in them and I hate cheese. Small print on the back mentions cheese sauce. On complaining I get little interest. Just told take the packaging back to store for a refund. ALDI are not interested in their suppliers very poor labelling.”

“I use to do all my shopping at Aldi, not anymore. The quality of their fresh? produce is abysmal. I have had enough of searching through products to find the ones with the longest use by dates only to find they turn into mush and are inedible before this date. This applies to fruit, vegetables, fish etc. I'd hate to think of all this produce that is bought and ends up in the bin. Shopping at Aldi is a false economy, you might as well spend that little bit more at one of its rivals and be assured that the product will last until it's use by date and beyond. Very disappointed.”

“I’ve paid almost £10 for delivery of a pool for this weekend for a children’s party and have just been informed delivery can be 14 days. It didn’t mention this when I placed my order. I’d rather have got it elsewhere in time”

“I didn’t enjoy your Specially Selected range of pork and leek sausages. They were rubbery and the skin was tough. Also two of your frozen desserts were of a poor standard: the apple crumble was filled with runny pulp which didn’t resemble apples just sticky goo. Also your frozen fruit and custard apple strudel hardly had any filling and the pastry was crusty on the bottom. Not enjoyable at all!”

“Went in to aldi enquired to whether they had a certain product in stock , because they did'nt have any of that specific item on the shelf, they could'nt even bother to look at first until I asked again , generally they are'nt very helpful and abrupt . You would'nt think that you are customer Your not treated like you should be as a customer ,I have been shopping at aldi's for a very long while ,but not any more I will just go somewhere else.”

“My grocery bill has almost doubled consistently after they completely remodeled the store in Roeland park, kS. I kept thinking that maybe I was just buying expensive stuff. But others say the same. And I’ve tried to watch what I buy and still shocked by price hike! I used to always be pleasantly surprised at how much my food bill was but in almost half. For sure we are payi T for the stupid remodel.”

“Aged Reserve White Cheddar, used to be one of the best things you could get at Aldi. I've recommended it to people dozens of times. The recipe and packaging have changed. Who cares about the packaging, the flavor is now completely different - and boring.”

“Not enough vegan options. Veganuary was good while it lasted but now all the stores I have been in have nothing left! Now I have to go back to shopping elsewhere to get everything I need. Vegan is a lifestyle not a phase.”

“We bought a lasagne from Aldi which used to be good but it now peppery, mush instead of meat and no genuine Italian flavour. Very disappointed. All their food appears to have chilli and pepper in everything!!!! Not they had on their selves 10years ago with good European food.”

“My 2star rating was given , based on service today at Aldi Harlescott.,13.15. No hand gel by front door. Till person was touching her nose and mouth then rubbed her eye whilst serving the person infront of me. When it was my turn I noticed that she didnt use hand gel ,I asked her if she could use before handling my produce. She did this straight away She then complained to her colleague that Id asked her to do it, the following customer said 'poor you , your hands must be sore, ' I could have refrained from this review, but on hearing her remarks, I felt it necessary to comment.I tried calling the store but no pick up. I really do feel that till persons should gel up before each customer to help keep us all safe.”

“Aldi Chicken Tikka Masala has been changed and not for the better. I have purchased this item every week for over a year. This week the packaging has changed as so has the recipe. It does not taste like it previously did and I won't purchase this like I used to.”

“Hi I went to 2 different Aldis this weekend - the Sundon Park Luton store clean ordered queuing system - great compliance with mask wearing .Lovely security guard overseeing , calm organised shopping experience with orderly queue at the sanitising station On Friday I went to the Catford/ Lewisham branch - security guard on his phone , a large number of people not wearing masks . I stood at the designated sanitising stations, not one person used the hand gel or wiped their trolley / basket .The store was extremely crowded and no one seemed to be monitoring and not all staff wearing masks - it was an awful frightening experience and very much appeared like the profit motive was outweighing any public health concerns - I left very quickly So the question is why this lack of consistency and who is responsible for overseeing and manage this”

“Potatoe quality was abysmal. 4kg of Irish rooster potatoes with a best before date of October 29th and I wind up spending my time cutting out rotting pieces to make the spuds usable. I bought them on the 20th so I guess I ll have to rummage through their boxes for a better expiry date in future !!”
