I have been happy shopping weekly at Aldi, Sherburn for many years. Recently, I find items with no prices displayed. Finding someone to help is tricky as staff are all trying to meet targets getting stock out. Sometimes, I have to wait till they’ve finished stocking shelves to pick up an item myself. I don’t think it’s their fault though, just the policies in place for efficiency! Last week I needed 3 regular items in particular, but they weren’t available - coffee beans, noodles and vitamins. I drove to my next nearest store in Wetherby, and found all 3 items.

Slim Well Salt and Pepper Chow Mein with chicken. This is advertised as being lightly spiced but in fact it is so peppery that it is difficult and unpleasant to eat. Helps you lose weight I guess if you can't eat it!

Always buy Aldis own sliced white bread, but lately it has tasted and smelt very 'yeasty', and not pleasant.

I actually really like shopping at Aldi's. Have great prices and some hard to find products. But their website, including their online shopping delivery and pick up is just terrible. They give you absolutely no information on the products which is not helpful if you have allergies. You would think that they could just take one extra picture with the nutritional value. I am allergic to celery and cinnamon. I can't even look to see if these ingredients are in certain products. Including with so many people watching their weight and such you would think that they would tell you calories and other nutritional value.

My disappointment is with a product. I'm an Aldi enthusiast, but, oh dear, what has happened to marzipan these days, as there is only a tiny blob of it in your so called "Authentic Marzipan Stollen"? Before Covid, when my partner and I went to J Lewis for coffee and cherry scones, he'd say to me "Whistle when you find a cherry"! I guess I'll need to try someone else's Stollen to check out on their amount of marzipan. It's so disappointing when stated ingredients are so sparse.

I have been a regular shopper at my local Aldi for many years now. This store has recently been refurbished, but since then, there are not always prices displayed, even for vegetables. So it’s impossible to select The best priced sweet peppers, for example, if you are trying to budget. As I turned a corner, I had to slow down due to an elderly person n front of me, but a staff member pushing a large trolley kept really close behind me, hurrying me forward. I was worried I would be hit. She didn’t ask me to move or apologise. Staff do work hard, but the haste will put off anyone not able to jump out of the way fast. I also saw a woman trying to reach something on a very high shelf, and spill lots of tins all over the floor. I think it’s dangerous unless you are 6 feet tall.

When shopping at Aldi, I wish they had a customer service desk like at Waitrose. Having a customer service desk would make it easier for me to report a problem, rather than chasing a busy employee around.

I purchased two Slimwell sweet potato curry ready meals from the Aldi store but on opening the cardboard outside packaging I saw that the plastic trays of both meals were badly broken. Once cooked I discovered several bits of plastic in the food. My issue is not with this, accidental damage occurs, but with the response of customer services. Initially I was told that they would monitor the performance of this supplier. On pointing out that this is actually dangerous I got a voucher for half the value. I feel this should be taken more seriously as if eaten, especially by a child, the plastic could cause damage.

I bought Aldi's rack of lamb. as a treat for my husband and myself. We had it tonight and it was horrible. It cost me £14'95 and it was all fat. 4 small loin chops which were thick with fat. I have often cooked rack of lamb at home but never had such little actual meat to eat. Never again will I spend so much money on so little about of edible food.

Used them last month. Found them very disappointing. Although they are cheap. Their own brands are extremely low quality and they compromise quality for this. For example. A pack of 4 frozen chicken pies for a very cheap price of about £1.60 must have had 1 cube of chicken in each pie. Chicken is very cheap meat. Having literally pastry mash and pease for supper made my blood boil that day. I will never buy their own brands again. Stick to big labels if I use them again. Which are a touch cheaper than other supermarkets.

This happened for the third time today, male cahier who was operating on tilt four toady at about 14:13 refused to hand me my receipt, instead placed it on the counter. The reason I am upset because, this didn't happen with the other customers who were white. I observed while in the que because I made a note of it mentally when it happened before. I even waited after I caused to see if he handed it to the other persons cashing after me and sure thing he did. I am not easily phased by these things but for the third time happening it tells me something about you sir.

Not what it used to be a few years back. Prices are often the same as other supermarkets now. Quality of meat has gone down hill alot. Where have your review information gone!? That says it all - got alot to hide these days as quality has gone down substantially. Used to be a regular - definitely not anymore.
