"Disappointing Quality and Poor Customer Service

Our experience with Alf the Label has been nothing short of frustrating. My wife recently purchased a Luca backpack to serve as a baby bag, only to discover it was broken upon going to the hospital for the birth of our baby.

Despite reaching out to Alf the Label, their solution was far from convenient. They offered to replace the bag, but we were expected to box it up at our own cost and send it back using a prepaid label.

As parents of a newborn, the impracticality of this solution cannot be overstated. We rely on the bag to carry essential items such as nappies, and being without it for at least two weeks while the replacement process unfolds is simply not feasible. Moreover, the inconvenience of having to visit the post office adds unnecessary stress, particularly when we proposed a much more reasonable alternative. We suggested they send us a new, non-faulty bag first, allowing us to return the defective one in the packaging provided. This would have been a fair solution given the bag's manufacturing defect.

To add to the frustration, my wife is dealing with the emotional rollercoaster that comes with postpartum hormones. The faulty bag and the lack of accommodation from Alf the Label have caused significant distress. The bag was not inexpensive, and the subpar quality control is evident.

In summary, our experience with Alf the Label has been highly disappointing. The bag, which is cheaply made in CHINA, has failed in both quality and durability.

The customer service response has been equally lacking, adding to our stress during an already challenging time. I would strongly advise against purchasing from this company. Save yourself the headache and opt for a more reliable brand."

"When you pay over $250 for a nappy bag, you expect design and material quality. Unfortunately, this is not my experience from my Alf bag.

1.The tassels on the front of the bag kept falling off...after the fourth time, I stopped asking my husband to squeeze them back on.
2. The back pocket is designed so poorly, you struggle to get anything in and out of the pocket because the top notch is placed far too close to it. This becomes a pain if you travel- can't access keys, wallet, phone quickly or easily.
3. Although the bag looked beautiful on arrival, it quickly became so clumsy to use that I have hardly used it at all. I feel like I was duped into buying a "stylish" bag."

"I have a 10 month old, and needed a slightly smaller bag that was also a backpack.
I did a lot of research and found many but sadly they all i found were ugly to me! Too chunky, no colour, not stylish.
I can across this brand when I literally googled “stylish nappy bags” 😆
I purchased the Helena in tan, LOVE the leather material it is amazing. Size is great, multiple pockets make it easy to use
When used as a backpack it’s so light and easy to carry. The strap and tuppi are a cute addition too.
Ticks all the boxes and exactly what I was after.
I love supporting Australian talent. I believe in supporting small business over mass production
Would definitely recommend."

"I absolutely love my bag, tuppi and pram straps! Not only are they made from hard wearing, durable, water-resistant leather, they look fantastic too. The different carrying options the bag offers to a new parent is such a benefit too: as a handbag, across the body, as a back pack, and, with the additional pram straps (so essential) attached to the pram. Ultimately, this means that as a parent you can have your hands free to deal with bubs. This bag is a generous size, allowing you to fit all the necessary items for a day out with bubs. Also, is you like being super organised like myself, there are ample pockets to sort your goodies! I definitely do not regret this purchase. "
