“They published my book, delivered the books to purchasers, and took all the money from the sales. i never got a penny. Now Ryan and Bonnie Adams are nowhere to be found, absconding with the money from book sales and almost $15,000 of my money! Last i heard they were using Prime as their name. BEWARE!!!”
“I paid for a 50% off offer and then was told I shouldn't expect to get the full service since I only paid 50%!! They kept asking for money for things such as copyright, etc. They promised social media and the website they produced was so bad I deleted it and hired someone else to do an excellent one. The editing was so bad that I went back to my original work before they started butchering the layout. This was my tenth fiction book, and I had done almost all of the work on the others. I just thought I'd get some help with social media marketing. That was non-existent. They did develop a few ads for me, but they were dropped into my facebook page all at one time--one after the other. I finally decided for my mental health to give up and told them as much. This week I received a phone call from "John Ryan" telling me amazon wanted to buy hundreds of copies of my latest book. I would only have to pay $2.50 per book and would make $30,000. I am not stupid and I won't be scammed. Stay away from amazonpublishingco. and amazonpublishinglabs.com.”
“My experience with Amazon Publishing Labs was not pleasant at all. They did publish my book but, in the process they came to me looking to sign me up for a Marketing Campaign, which I did. The cost for the campaign was significant and they made many promises regarding their ability to generate sales through their digital marketing capabilities. During the entire 5 month engagement I dealt with three different project managers. Two of the three continued to try to sell me more services and I finally realized they couldn't be trusted. I asked them to refund me four months of the nine month campaign but, they ghosted me after a few discussions. I would not suggest using Amazon Publishing Labs.”
“I have brains. Received a totally undolicited email from them. Look at the reviews here. 5 star reviews look flowery and fake. Amazon needs to act. I will be contacting Amazon with their details.”
“A total scam. Kept asking for more money- George Carter, which I am sure is not his real name, comes across as helpful, but this is a total ripoff. How can he spend his entire day as a con artist- totally took advantage of a well-meaning 86 year old. Disgusting! They have nothing to do with the Amazon company- difficult to believe they do this scam without any concern about consequence. They are a pathetic!”
“Warning! Amazon Publishing Labs is not affiliated with Amazon, and they are scammers! They make promises and take your money, then refuse to do what they promised. They use Quillbot to paraphrase and it mocks any writer's work, and try to get you to do everything you've paid them to do. They use others art work for a cover, they "process" your refund and then contest it when you've found they lied, and to be clear, the are liars and do so repeatedly. I have the proof through txts and emails. So you should avoid Sophia James at Amazon publishing labs 1-332-222-0290 1-332-253-4342 and Alex Daniels the general manager who lied and laughs at you later for believing him, and josh Abraham at Amazon publishing labs, as well as Jared Bacher and Ethan Gallagher. Again, I've kept what they've done with my work, and what they've said.”
“I was used and lied to. They are not affiliated with Amazon. They don't do real editing, they use a Quillbot paraphrasing tool that made my title character the brother of his girl friend. They put my title on someone else's book cover and refused to fix it. I received an email saying my refund was processed (they completely abandoned my work, though they took $2500 from me), but didn't t give it back. I suspect that the good reviews are fake.”
