Courier left my order outside in the rain and the order was unusable. Contacted customer support expecting an apology and a replacement but ended up in a long email exchange, had to send pictures as evidence and then support said they hadn't received pictures so had to resend several times and to different emails. In the end I opened a PayPal dispute to get a refund. Very disappointing service and a tremendous hassle for an order that cost £8. Can't recommend the company and can't rate the product because it was unusable.

Up to this very day, I never received any of the ordered goods. Neither did I get any response to my e-mail. Everything has been paid in advance, so if this is American Soda's customers policiy, that is more than poor. Still waiting for an answer, Yours, sincerely, A. I received the sweets and they were broken with ripped packaging, and the drink I ordered leaked everywhere had to throw most of it away... some of the stuff was just about in date... awful, waste of money. I probably wont even get a refund or replacement because I chucked the stuff out. Won't be buying from this site again that's for sure!

Put an order in, paid for it then got a refund a week later, no email to say why I received the refund. Checked stock and the product was still in stock.

Order never received. Whole process seems confused with option to vary choice. We placed a simple order for some jelly beans. All we have heard is this request for feedback. Not impressed.

I did not recieve my package from these at all even though I paid for next day delivery, emails and rung several times with no reply. Am now having to go to trading standards to get my money back! Terrible!

I dare you to post this on your site. Sirs, I placed an order, No 400086732 on your site on 23 December 2015 at 13:23:37 GMT for two items. I paid for next day delivery. You took payment for the goods, A contract had been made between us. You broke that contract. Let me explain. The delivery arrived the next day containing only one item. I logged on to my account to find that you had left a message there telling me that you couldn't supply the goods ordered but that I should not panic... Why didn't you tell me that you couldn't fulfill my order before taking payment? Why didn't you give me the opportunity to change my order to one that you could fulfill and deliver with next day delivery? I am very angry about this. You put me in a very difficult and embarrassing position and still have the money I paid you for the unfulfilled part of this order. This is very bad practice on your part. It is a shockingly poor level of customer service. I expect you to repay me the money for the unfulfilled part of the order immediately. I also expect a substantial level of compensation for the trouble you have put me to, say, the full value of the order including delivery. I expect your expeditious reply. Dave Brewer. Sent 30 December no response yet! Now 4/1/2016 - Happy New Year - and no response! Ah a response: "Hello, I’m very sorry to hear that you were missing an item from your order! I have issued a refund for this to your payment method. Unfortunately sometimes when the site is very busy like before Christmas the stock levels can be incorrect, it may be that we had this available when you placed it into your basket however someone else was ordering at the same time and they placed the order before you securing the stock for themselves. We are unable to contact customers before shipping the parcel as we want you to receive the delivery on time. I hope you can accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards Melissa American Soda" Actually I don't accept your apology because I don't believe it to be sincere. If it were you would had offered me compensation for the effort I have put in bring this to your attention and the difficult and embarrassing position you left me. Any decent ordering system would either lock the stock records until the transaction is complete or recheck the stock records when the transaction is committed. As neither of these seem to true in the case of your ordering system, one can only conclude that it is a poor system and requires some attention. My advice to would be clients of American Soda is AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Good products at competitive prices but dreadful customer service. Received email to say that the product I wanted (for a christmas present) was back in stock, so placed order which went through. A few days later received email to say it was no longer in stock and my payment card would be refunded. Too late then to find alternative in time for christmas. This has happened to me twice. When emailing them to ask why this happens, questions were ignored. DONT SAY SOMETHING IS IN STOCK, ALLOW CUSTOMERS TO PLACE ORDER AND AFTER A FEW DAYS SAY ACTUALLY, ITS NOT IN STOCK! Delivery is also painfully slow. Such a shame.

This is my second time I ordered from your company and was disgusted with my parcel. The first time I received my parcel, it was excellent. The company made sure that everything was in perfect order and ensured that the items will not be damaged during the delivery process. But this year, was totally opposite! My parcel came in a massive box which was too big for the number of items I ordered and when I opened the box, although plastic packaging was intact but you instantly know that it was not well taken cared of during the delivery, the bottom of the box was wet and when I opened it saw the items as if it was thrown on the floor several times. But of course I emailed your company straight away regarding this matter but before the reply my additional arrived in the same manner. I did not have the time to send it back as this was a part of a planned gift giveaways to my English friends and colleagues. That is why this year, when they asked me where I got it from I just told them I will get it for them when I visit the U.S next year rather than they order through your company. I am an avid patron of American candies since I was a kid that is why I want my friends to enjoy it, too. But I think you need to reconsider your delivery company.
