“The Appli guide has been an extremely helpful addition to my preparation for medical school. Having applied only a week ago, the guide that was kindly gifted to me by Appli really helped me make strategic choices for which universities I as an individual would be suited to. I think what is so great about the application guide is that it is tailored to everyone individually, which means every result and percentage chance of an interview at each medical school is made for YOU and only you. This means that you’re able to see what makes you different from other applicants in terms of where your strengths lie which inevitably makes the whole decision about which medical school to choose a lot more efficient and a heck of a lot less stressful! The profile is really simple to set up and takes no more than 10 minutes (providing you know your academic scores, UCAT / BMAT etc). Appli does all the hard work for you regarding the guide, all you have to do is fill in your details and it’s done. What was pleasant was how fast the guide was put to together and sent to me, as for the amount of detail in the guide I was very shocked to have received it in a week. As I am preparing for MMI style interviews now, the guide has also aided me greatly with practice style questions and key topics that I should focus on. It’s so useful to have the guide give me a clear direction on how to prepare for these interviews since they are crucial to getting into a medical school and it will allow me to feel calm and prepared for the challenge. Topics such as medicine in the future, ethics, key diseases of today and the current NHS system are all covered in vivid detail (again, extremely helpful). If you are somebody who knows they want to do medicine, but are unsure about where would be best to apply (in terms of being strategic about getting a place) then this guide will 100% be worth purchasing. The way it has been structured will help you reached an informed decision as to why you are suited to each medical school and why other medical schools not so much. It was also really relieving and pleasant to see that my chances at the medical schools I really wanted to attend were fairly good and therefore this is another great reason to purchase the guide - if you need some reassurance that you’re doing everything to put you on the path the guide can certainly give that to you. As someone who has wanted to do medicine my entire life, I understand how difficult the preparation and application stage is. Having doubted many times whether I was capable of getting a place at a medical school, the guide from Appli has helped stabilise me and show me with sufficient evidence that in fact there are a lot of universities that I am a good candidate for. It is nice to know there are companies out there like Appli Education aiming to help ease the stress we all feel during the application stage, even just a little bit. If that doesn’t tell you enough about good this guide and the company is, I don’t know anything that will.”

“The report arrived very quickly and exceeded my expectations! It was very detailed and explains how factors such as hours of volunteering play in how likely i am to get into all the medical schools in the UK. The report is nothing I have ever come across before. I believe it’s a really good investment to make in helping you choose what universities to apply to in such a competitive field.”

“The workload of teachers seems to be growing by the day, so it has been a breath of fresh air to find a company to reduce some of it. Appli is an excellent tool for those of us who supervise Year 12 and 13 students wishing to study medicine. We already know that the medical schools don’t use any kind of consistent approach, and that an applicant who is a shoo in at one university wouldn’t even get an interview at another. Appli does the legwork of comparing students’ individual data with the universities’ requirements, giving rankings of them all in a very comprehensive report (one report per student). Queries have been dealt with very promptly, and the time saved overall has been considerable. Thank you very much.”

“If your son or daughter is asking for advice on navigating the choppy waters of medical school applications, Appli is your new evidence based best friend. Appli asks them to list all the relevant information in their background, from GCSE results and their favourite universities, to their out of school interests and volunteering. It compares all this to the many and varied different entry criteria of all the UK medical schools, and m. I cannot stress enough how reassuring it is for your son or daughter to see these numbers in black and white! Five stars to Appli, for reducing the headache factor in the household!”

“Any parent of an aspiring medical student will be very pleased to have found this most helpful company. The detailed and comprehensive report shows the young applicant her percentage chance of an offer from all the UK medical schools, and also picks out the four that most match what she wants from the course in terms of teaching style. As these don’t necessarily correlate with her initial ideas, it’s invaluable in preventing the “waste” of an application, where there is little or no chance of success! The personal statement checker saves hours of editing, advising how to play up strengths and mitigate any weaknesses. I have no hesitation in recommending Appli.”

“Before receiving my report I felt that I was very in the dark about how likely I was to get a place at highly competitive institutions. Appli not only helped me to confirm my choices but to also choose a 4th choice that I had an extremely likely chance of getting into. This gives me so much peace of mind because I can be certain that I am applying to places that are looking for the strengths I have. I now also have a basis of what these medical schools are looking for and can make sure to include these things in my interview. Applying feels so much less like a shot in the dark and I have learnt lots of things I didn’t know about individual medical schools. I also had a clear divide in my chances at Oxford and Cambridge and was able to confirm my decision of which one to apply to. “The service Appli gives is worth loads (far more than they charge) because it'll boost your odds of getting in for medicine by more than basically anything else. They give you a booklet which has all your odds of getting in everywhere and which has loads of helpful advice. They answered any questions I had about it almost instantaneously and were really helpful. The advice Appli gives is really good and will help you make an informed choice. No one else seems to be able to give advice this good and this evidence-based. It boosts your odds way more than anything else you could do.”

“I found out about Appli through an Instagram advert. Honestly, at first, I didn’t really know much about the report and thought that it would be brief and not much help. However, I received the report and it has been far more useful than I could have possibly imagined. “I feel that Appli has helped me narrow down my university choices for medicine. With so many options out there, it is really overwhelming to try and pick a few on your own! Of course, I still need to do a lot of research into the universities they have picked for me, but it is less overwhelming now that I don’t have to thoroughly research all the medical universities in the country. There are definitely things that could be improved, for example, what are the percentages based on? And what evidence is behind these percentages? But it is a good start to an original idea with a lot of potential. I feel that with a few tweaks here and there, Appli could be an formidable tool that all aspiring medicine students would use. I also like how the rest of the report booklet contains interview tips and strategies, which I am sure will come in handy.”

“The overall experience of dealing with Appli was amazing. The ease-of-use of the interface was particularly good, allowing me to quickly and efficiently submit my personal details. I particularly liked the layout that the website has; submitting you details in small chunks allowed me to think more clearly about the answers I wanted to provide. Appli has been very useful for me, highlighting university choices that I previously didn't consider, and making me think twice about applying to some of my firm offers. The interview advice that Appli sent to me has given me a very good start in preparing for them, giving me an insight into exactly what I need to do over the coming weeks.
