“We instructed Askews conveyancy department for a fairly simple switch to a new mortgage lender for a fixed rate. Although, overall the experience was fast and efficient due to our swift response to requests and our solicitors swift response to queries, there were times that communication could have been improved to make remortgaging a less stressful experience. Sometimes, the emails received were worded with legal jargon which made it hard for us to understand and caused us to worry more than necessary. There has been an apparent breakdown in communication between our mortgage broker and solicitors at some stages of the process, which has caused some stress however it was rectified.”
