"Asurion through Verizon\r\nSamsung S23 Ultra battery expanded inside and forced the case open. For $99.00 Asurion sent a replacement phone but they were unable to properly transfer an app I needed and was unwilling to lose. Because of this I had to take my damaged phone to an Asurion authorized repair facility and pay $264.36 for a new battery and screen out of my own pocket and have to return the phone they sent me or be charged $300 and they will lock the replacement phone serial number. \r\nSo... I have paid Asurion $19 monthly for 22 months, or $418 for inaurance + $99 for Asurion to send a replacement that I could not use totaling an insurance cost of $517.\r\n\r\nSo...\r\nI had to pay an Asurion repair facility $264.36 to repair my old phone and Asurion will not reimburse me for the repair cost done at their Asurion certified repair facility. \r\n\r\nSummary:\r\nPaid $517 for insurance that wasn't honored. I believe Asurion should have covered the repair cost if they were unable to successfully transfer my app to their replacement phone. \r\n\r\nRepair cost using Asurion was $517 Ins + $264.36 = $781.36.\r\n\r\nRepair cost without Asurion would have been $264.36.\r\n\r\nSavings if I didn't have Asurion would have been $517.00."

"Scam. Difficult to cancel. Pre-existing conditions are a joke. Called the 24\/7 line to cancel machine said \"call back during business hours\" and hung up. No way to cancel in the app. Should report these guys to bbb. Misleading information."
